No idea why this is such a big deal in the USA. In the UK we have something called democracy, and anyone is allowed to stand for PM if they get enough votes. Doesn't matter where they were born. I have two things to contribute to this discussion:

1. I would like to verify the earlier post regarding the difficulty- no, near IMPOSSIBILITY - of a student *Transferring* into an Ivy League college (at least in the latter '80's & '90's).

I transferred after my Freshman Year to a top college out-of-state, and back again after 1 year. It was so difficult that I was forced to accept my THIRD choice (for the out-of-state college) and I was a top student & high achiever in all categories--- what sororities term a "Board Girl". Board Girls are the cream of the crop; the rushees over whom ALL the campus sororities are fighting to impress and vying to pledge. I'm concerned about coming across as egotistical and/or grandiose and I truly pray that is not the case....I only wish to drive home such an important distinction and proof of a fraud that is being forced upon the citizens of The United States and the World. Not only was I in the top 3 Board Girls the year I rushed, but it was at a very large, exceedingly well-known and competitive University. I stood out in every category, with notable, *documented* and consistent success from a very young age. Again, I only say this to make a point....although I had been accepted at all the Ivy League Schools, had a scholarship to Duke through TIP and had all doors open to me, I was not immune to young love and I chose (not very wisely for all my 'intelligence', LoL) to follow my man and HIS 'big ticket', which was being drafted into a National Championship-winning athletic program. When he was enticed away after our Freshman Year, we decided that I would TRANSFER schools as well and follow him. The solid wall of "No" stunned me as well as everyone involved. Despite having been accepted literally everywhere I'd applied as an incoming freshman, ****The rules governing college TRANSFERS are Vastly different!**** At least during the time period of the latter '80's and '90's, there was only one "window" during which a student had any decent chance of transferring, and that was entering the Junior Year - not before, not after, ONLY as an Incoming Junior. Even then, these transfers were put at the bottom ... considered AFTER all the incoming Freshmen, and only if there was space available once all the other students were in place.

So, although I am considerably younger than Barry Soetero/Barack Obama, I did TRANSFER COLLEGES during the same general time period he claims to have attended college, and most definitely under the SAME RULES & CONDITIONS. In MY case, I was an outstanding and distinguished student/candidate with a lifelong history of documented achievement in academics, athletics, business & the community, and I had to settle for my THIRD CHOICE. Contrast this with the STORY of "Barack Obama", a mediocre student from a Community College, who had never distinguished himself academically, nor athletically, and then Miraculously TRANSFERS into an Ivy League College.... Oh, and so does his ROOMMATE?! Having the Personal experience under my belt, I call "FOUL!"?

2. Recall the young love I mentioned previously ? He continued to trade on his college athletic career and used it to attend Ivy League Schools in the States as well as Oxford or Cambridge Abroad (I don't want to get too specific, as the details I do need to provide could ID one or both of us). Those necessary details are that he became a Bonesman, a Democrat & a Politician. He broke my heart when he ran for (a high office) and I saw the ugly underbelly, the Inside of the Political Process. I was asked to be quiet about things...change or hide the past..."lose" magazine articles profiling the two of us in high school and college.

For all that, we always had a strong bond and although my heart was broken & we didn't marry, we've remained close....we just don't discuss politics.

That changed after Obama's "Long Form Birth Certificate" was published on the Net in all it's Adobe Glory. After studying it myself, and being proficient in the use of the Adobe Software, I could no longer refrain from mentioning it to my former paramour. Having experienced the sting of being silenced, hidden, censored and monitored during his own campaign, I was perplexed that "Obama", unlike all other modern-day Presidential Candidates before him, did not have similar "issues". I asked my Ex about it - putting the question to him quite directly: "Where was Obama's Past? Where were the friends, frat brothers, fellow members of the Law Review, *college* political allies, community members, neighbors....and SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS, like ours? If YOU had to hide ME, amongst other things, and you weren't running for POTUS, then what about Obama?"

The man with whom I'd spent Years of my life...for whom I transferred colleges Twice .... the near father of my children.... the man for whom I kept silent while his Campaign for Office lied and twisted and covered the Truth....a man I know better than his own family.......This Man, this now Democrat Bonesman, didn't miss a beat and gave me a rundown of "Barack Obama's" 'WOMEN'.

It was like a bad speech. He recited them like a student who has committed boring content to memory for an exam. First Girlfriend: First and Last Names. College Girlfriend: First and Last Names. Girl Who Took Obama's Virginity (I kid you not): First and Last Names.

I really didn't know what to make of it, so I made a funny retort and dropped it.....and I haven't revisited the topic.

The only thing I can articulate is that the entire thing felt like something he (or everyone in his 'camp' or at a certain level, or 'Inside') was made to learn/memorize. It really and truly unnerved me.

No uncles or tomato plants. Just my own life story and where it has bumped into these Issues we are discussing. (And I will not give out the names, etc. I do NOT want to be ID'd or give anything away that might 'Breitbart' me.)

But, know this.....the "Barack Obama STORY" is just that.... a STORY, regardless of your political affiliation/leanings. It defies logic and fails all attempts at historical verification.

As for him not being a NBC, read the Ankeny court decision, which says for purposes of being President of the US, all a person needs to be is born in the US, no matter the nationality of their parents. That has never been overturned and is recent.
