Age is nothing if you have a connection. I spent 4 years with a guy 20 years younger than me. We are still really close but it didn't work out.
I'm now 45 and am getting close to my 23 year old housemate. Trying to avoid it but geez what can ya do! Lol

These comments have been quite reassuring, maybe I shouldn't be so afraid of it.

I think I am just gonna go with it and see where it leads, may as well. We haven't met in person yet I should tell you, I met her on a webcam site actually and have gotten close to her since then.

I think for now, until we actually did meet up, gonna just take this as it is, and wait till then before really going much further. If both of us are still unattached by then can see what we got and go from that. Till then can allow us to keep our options open, so no one gets hurt in the meantime here.

I do know if nothing else I wanna be her friend (with small benefits maybe lol), whether we worked out as anything more or not. I don't want this to be something where if we tried it and it didn't work we didn't speak again. Wanna at least have the friendship.

Been there, done that, only I was 38 and she was 21... This the better way to go dude... This of it like this, if youare 24 and she is like 41, when you are 35, she will be 52! Forget that bro, she will be old and sagging big time by then, plusyou'll have to del with society always eye balling you, and then there is the issue of having kids, she is not going to wanna pop out any kids at her age, and then you would be missing out on what I think is the best thing life can ever offer you... There are plenty of fish in the sea dude, once you figure out that you do not have to make the next hottie who likes you your girlfriend, youwill start to climb the girlfriend ladder of success becasue the next one is almost always younger and hotter that the last, and in your case, I'd be willing to best the house on that happening!

When I was 37, I met an 18 year woman who totally blew me away with how mature she was. We had so much in common, and had an amazing time talking. We both realized the age gap was too big for us to try dating, but we just loved hanging out together...eventually one thing led to another and we hooked up. She's dating someone a year older than her now, she's happy, and I'm happy for her. She said that she'll look me up when she's 23...and see where she's at.

Age is just a number once you realize who you are. I've changed in a lot of ways since I was 18, but I think at my core...I'm the same person. Just more jaded...haha.
