Am I wrong to think that Ron Paul should be allowed to speak at the RNC in Tampa?

I mean really, he qualified for the ballot but they won't let him speak? Isn't there some kind of rule against that? Is it unreasonable to want the Republican party to simply follow their own rules? I ask this because I just got into a huge argument with my dad over this; he's blaming me and other Paul supporters for the downfall of the nation for not blindly following the party-line and voting out Obama.

My dad's been apart of the same system for so long that deep-down I think he's scared; he doesn't really want change, he just wants things to stay the same until he's gone, and then the mess will be OURS to fix. This doesn't change the fact that Paul should be allowed to speak though. If the RNC treated him with common courtesy more of the Paul supporters would be inclined to vote for their phony, made-up candidate. As of now, they're making Gary Johnson look like the better choice in MY eyes.

That's good. Thanks for that. And from a Brit nonetheless! More Americans should think like you... Cheers.

Re: Am I wrong to think that Ron Paul should be allowed to speak at the RNC in Tampa?
I'm not trying to force my dad into liking him or agreeing with all his ideas. I'm just talking about letting a man who's on the ballot give a speech! In my mind that should be common courtesy, and a chance for the Republicans to win over the Paul supporters. But its like they don't care. It's like they don't want to win! And then we'll be the ones blamed for four more years of Obama?

I've never needed to vent about something so badly.
