I did notice Yuma, it was one of the bad ones. Phoenix has been nice and low ever since my daughter moved there, I was kind of not ok with the move because it had been so high.

Well Colorado doesn't do so well on the EPA map. But if you live there it is best to look at the radiation network so you don't feel so bad. :)

i think it is because we are so close to CA, and we are low lying (150 ft above sea level). it seems to hold here for some reason! i noticed it back in April 11 for the short time there was a working station here!!

I was in Boulder after Fukushima and doing a lot of gardening. I didn't know about the EPA monitors and thought everything was ok because of radiation network. What a mess.

Even radiation network went above 100 off and on for a few days.

Have any of the citizens of Harrisonburg called the EPA for an explanation and what the heck are they doing about it. We pay them to protect us, can't just complain, somebody there must care about their health or their children's health. What are the citizens doing about it?

This has happened before and nothing was done in Harrisonburg. I don't know what the local people say about it.

terrible. it's a crime. everyone in the EPA should be fired and jailed. same with many officials who did not give the public, notice.

The EPA used to be readable like in Alexander Higgins blog and then when Ft. Calhoun was flooded they changed everything and made it impossible to find the information.

I sent them an email accusing them of deliberately making the information difficult to find and they wrote back that they had written up "an incident" report on me. I got scared and left them alone which is what they wanted. And as it turns out they are dropping the ball and they are totally bogus and that hasn't changed.

they took our monitor in Yuma, offline very shortly after Fukushima. we had some high readings and i think they noticed that it was getting mentioned. so poof. gone. sent messages, they said readings were low and not to be concerned.

I read about who is paid to run it and all that. I forgot all the details but even so radiation doesn't seem to be important to anyone that is in charge. It's like they want losers to be running the radnet because it makes it easier to deny what is happening. Just my opinion, I am sure some people care.

yes. it's all about covering their own asses and keeping as tight as a lid upon situations as possible.

i had dealings with the EPA on a different local issue back in the early 90's. they were just as helpful/useful.
