South Carolina man DIES of flesh-eating bug just hours after complaining of swollen arm!!! I have never heard a story where death has resulted in a few hours though, could this be a mutation? Quoting: Laura Bow It's kinda like canned goods...once you notice the swelling it's too late... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

South Carolina man DIES of flesh-eating bug just hours after complaining of swollen arm!!! According to this, it sounds like it's almost everywhere, not necessarily stagnant water. Anthony Hills, 55, dies just hours after rushed to the hospital with flesh-eating disease ‘You don't have to be in the jungle or exposed to animals or have any unusual exposure. It's just normal bacteria that are all around that just get into the wrong place,’ says one doctor. [link to www.nydailynews.com] |

I guess something this scary would be more likely to be reported on but I've never read one where the guy died hours after experiencing symptoms...yikes. |

[link to www.nydailynews.com] was flesh eating disease common before these recent bouts the media is reporting? I was looking to see if there was anything else on Google news about flesh eating bacteria and thought this was interesting, perhaps this may help account for a possible increase? Did more bacteria put people at risk after the oil spill? Scientists say it's hard to say But scientists say there's no way to tell if more people were at risk of catching it By KAREN NELSON — [email protected] GULFPORT -- Vibrio vulnificus flourished after the BP oil spill, like other bacteria in the Gulf that eat oil. The difference is that Vibrio vulnificus eats people as well. It's a type of flesh-eating bacteria that lives in saltwater. It enters people through a wound or raw seafood that carries it. And it has been around the Gulf, the Mississippi Sound and in water along the shoreline of the Gulf states forever. Read more here: [link to www.sunherald.com] |

I worked at a state park in Virginia last year and the chief park ranger told me that people were contracting MRSA from the Shenandoah riverbanks. I later read that the Shenandoah is the second most polluted river in the nation. I don't know what the first most polluted river is. The less rain, the worse it is. |

South Carolina man DIES of flesh-eating bug just hours after complaining of swollen arm!!! I urge everyone to practice amputating their limbs and be prepared to sever any and all appendages including your penis within a period of no more than 30 seconds. Necrotizing fascitis moves fast. If you try to get to a hospital to deal with it it'll be too late. |

Quoting: Laura Bow I think the reporter probably got a little carried away with the "rushed to the hospital" part. He was likely sick for a day or two before he got weak and then they took him to the hospital. To have necrotizing fasciitis in an arm and a leg, he was likely either injecting drugs or was a diabetic, or both. Wonder if he was getting tattoos? In his book, "Between Two Ages," Brzezinski wrote: "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values." MuzzleBreak |
