| Terrebonne User ID: 21504072 08/09/2012 12:11 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If Romney loses Florida, NOTHING else matters. NOTHING! Quoting: Super Bowl Dave He must pick Rubio -- which polls show will be the most likely VP to help carry a state -- which is Florida. Romney will get all of the South, including VA and NC. He will get Colo and Arizona. He will win IN. Obama will get IA, WI and Minn. They aren't in play. Obama probably wins NV and NM. He also wins NH. He easily wins PA. That wraps it up. There are only two serious "swing" states, Ohio and Florida. For this election to even be in contention, he MUST win Florida to make a push for Ohio. Florida has to be a given. It has to be in the bag. If Florida is not in the conversation, Romney cannot win. Once he has Florida, he then MUST win Ohio, of course. He CANNOT lose Florida and win Ohio. As for the VP picks... Pawlenty would be horrible, causing a nationwide collective sigh, yawn and eye-roll, letting all the air out of an already lifeless campaign. He won't help carry Minnesota, and even if he did, its 10 electoral votes won't be enough. Portman is not well known in Ohio. Romney can win Ohio without Portman. Rubio would wrap up and secure Florida so all forces can descend upon Ohio. Florida is still in play with Obama leading and it must be the priority. Florida will be harder to win than Ohio. Rice and Betrayus won't help carry any specific states. However, I do not believe Romney will pick Rubio. He's doing very little to help himself win this. It's frustrating watching his campaign make so many blunders, respond so poorly to attacks and so poorly create a positive narrative for Romney as a candidate. He also has a tendency to over-play his hand on perceived Obama missteps, such as the welfare reform controversy (with Republican governors in NV and UT requesting this change from the Obama Administration -- a change which the administration still requires work-requirement stipulations and quotas -- Romney now looks incredibly stupid. He's saying Obama has rolled-back Clinton's welfare reform, which Clinton has called a lie, which it is). His campaign chooses these red herrings poorly and can't seem to see two, three steps ahead or how their attacks will play out. There's also plenty he could attack Obama on with respect to civil liberties, the war, broken promises, Wall Street hypocrisy -- but he doesn't go there. If he stays the course and picks a tepid VP, get ready for four more years of Obama. Get used to it. Electoral college calculator -- do the math and you'll see how hard it is for Romney to win: [link to www.cnn.com] He is not eligible. Marco Rubio was born a Cuban Citizen via his parents. UPDATE 27 May 2011: See PDF copy of the Sep 1975 Petition for Naturalization for Mario Rubio, father of Senator Marco Rubio. Marco was born in May 1971, more than 4 years before his father Mario elected to become a U.S. Citizen and renounced his Cuban citizenship in Nov 1975. You fucking dumb shits need to realize that Romney is the Sarah Palin of 2012. Obama will "win" again. Just like Bush did in 2000, and 2004. The only way to prevent another fraud from happening again is to move away from Electronic Voting. And to stand up for what is right. Not for what is White. You dumb fucks are making it a race issue. I think he will win Virginia and Colorado as well. He will definitely get North Carolina. If the voter turnout is low then you may see him take some surprise states. It is not over for Obama but it is getting there. An incumbent polling as he does spells disaster. Jimmy Carter had better numbers. |

It's not so much the difference, if any, between the two but the similarities of who handles both.....namely the same people. These guys are puppets and while they put on a good show in front for you, behind the scenes it's the same old shit. It's not that they are the same or not the same, it's that they both follow the same agenda. They both tow the same line. They keep the status quo. You have the illusion of choice between these two. |

There's also plenty he could attack Obama on with respect to civil liberties, the war, broken promises, Wall Street hypocrisy, Jeff Immelt -- but he doesn't go there. While Romney cannot ever release his tax returns due to his IRS amnesty deal (an assumed near certainty) -- which essentially impugns him in willful commission of tax evasion -- he CAN repeatedly request to see Obama's college records (which would reveal him to be a foreign student and will also never be released). His campaign strategists are either idiots or trying to lose. If he stays the course and picks a tepid VP, get ready for four more years of Obama. Get used to it. Quoting: The Fifth Element Romney is working so hard to lose, it's unbelievable Picked to lose - agree 1000% Santorum probably would of been a better choice to WIN than Romney. At least he has more in common than the typical American, but he had too much on his plate with his family issues. Why not pick a multi-millionaire who has money to burn and can be the sacrificial lamb that wheres it and can afford it. BHO will win no matter what and he is bulletproof he can do no wrong. The Democrat Political Machine is so powerful and corrupt they will try to win breaking all the rules, even if BHO is a "False Prophet." The media always shutout Ron Paul, because they were probably threatened by the PTB and he never had a chance. |
| chris999 User ID: 19470458 08/09/2012 01:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yep. Romney has been chosen to lose. Ron Paul is our only chance, yet the "GOP" is the one that is standing in the way of a true take-back of our country. "Republicans" claim that they will do ANYTHING to beat Obama... yet they are not willing to play ball with the Libertarians... To me, that just goes to show that they would rather have Obama as president than a man of integrity who wants to dismantle our evil J-ew Federal Reserve banking system. Put that in your pipe and smoke it "GOP"... And to be honest... I am completely fine with that, because us Libertarians already know that Mr Romney is just as bad as Obama. We already see the Revolution on the horizon, and we know that if we go ahead and let Obama win, that maybe you guys will finally wake up and fight the evil with us... Wake up idiots. You are standing in the way of REAL change. What are you afraid of? I dont mean everything I say to be literal. I just like to throw around ideas, and play devil's advocate.
