But the thing is, I've been feeling like this since about 1993 or so. For the last 20 years, its seemed like everything is on the verge of total catastrophe and meltdown, that "the change is just around the corner."
Meanwhile everyone else I know in real life (i.e., not on kooky messageboards) has gone on to make money, start families and raise kids, get real jobs, and generally get on with their lives. After 20 years of "the end is nigh," All I have to show for it is a basement well-stocked with old stale MREs and fingers stained with dorito-dust.
I think this doom shit is a real bummer.

In fact, it might not even be prudent to do so - particularly if one is trying to plan for survival in a 'world' one isn't really a resident of to begin with.
