emerald eye Keeping an "eye out" for the truth. User ID: 844228 United States 01/24/2013 03:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't know much about the climate in southern Louisiana, except that it is supposed to be always warm, even in the winter months. If you look at the fly-over video from August 2012, it is remarkable how green the ground and trees look, as compared to the current 1-24-13 video in which they almost all appear to be dead. Do you get that much seasonal change in vegetation in southern Louisiana??? August 13, 2012 fly-over: [link to www.youtube.com] January 24, 2013 fly-over: [link to www.youtube.com] Clearly, to me anyway, there looks to be more going on down there than just water and a water related sink hole.... I don't know why I can't get the videos to embed, I highlighted them with the "youtube"button??? I really feel that so many people do not fully understand the implications of this particular sinkhole. It is not just "another" sinkhole. This situation can, and eventually will, encompass the entire gulf coast. |

The size and position of the new 'work pad' in the foreground is quite alarming when you look at the Wings Of Care video from a month earlier where it's a small clearing and one machine. Visible at the start of this vid. Are they putting something in hence the increase or has the increase in size been dictated by some occurrence? I know they are putting various monitoring points etc in but haven't been able so far to find out about this one. 7even |

I see that the corporate goons called the presentation unprofessional. Hah! Not as unprofessional as the way they've trashed the state of Louisiana! That cracked well head looks pretty unprofessional to me. Who poured that cement? Halliburton? Shades of Macondo ... |

Most of the time residents just comment about it and brush it off. But the bubbling on Wednesday morning was different. The bubbling was more active than it's been in quite some time and the entire lake was lined with bubbles. [link to www.klfy.com] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 31566384 United States 02/24/2013 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Studies of the area where a sinkhole formed last summer in Assumption Parish indicate scientists suspected as early as 1991 that the Napoleonville Dome was not shaped as state regulators believed when they permitted industry to create caverns in the massive underground formation. The shape of a salt dome is important because it dictates where caverns, which are created by pumping water underground to dissolve the salt and create a void, can safely be located.
