Looking for a commune or shelter in the mountains.
I live right on the east coast at the beach. I'm ready to walk away completely, with my two dogs if possible.

Does anyone know of a place like this? Away from New Madrid, maybe the Ozarks?

Not doing it simply out of fear, though that is propelling me. I'm ready to start over and the timing is perfect right now.

Anyone?

What gives the locals and the police meaning to their lives is the chance to run off people looking for a place to camp. Park officials especially. Even if they don't own the land, if they think they can bully and intimidate you, they will, in other countries people have a sense of decency about things like this, not so in America.

Even in Williston, North Dakota, where they have tens of thousands of workers with no place to stay, but they are making thousands of dollars a week, the locals are obsessed with driving them out, not letting them even park their RV's in empty parking lots.

All the neocon talk show puppets whine about people on unemployment all day, about their measly $150 a week, that they more than earned with the taxes they've paid, they've probably all paid 10 times that in taxes, but the globalists just enjoy making other people suffer.
