We all want peace, nice homes, good food, future for our families. Unfortunately that was cut off from thousands of Jewish families in 70 AD. It was so bad that a Roman soldier described rivers of blood flowing down the streets..

But whats wrong with wanting real leadership here and now?

The New World of the United States has vastly accomplished peace and security for its citizens and its poor.

We have the clothing and food and shelter that God has promised us, do we not?

Of course lawlessness is on the increase and law must be restored to its rightful capacity.. Weve had it so good that weve become lenient in many matters of crime amongst our citizens.
 Quoting: APOLLO ILLUMINIST

No you don't.

My bro in law lives there has to have three jobs, one for the insurance for his family encase they ever need a doctor dentist or have an accident, one is part time teaching which is what he wants to do, and one is to pay the bills.

Sounds like slavery to me.

Your country only looks after the well off who are capable of looking after themselves.

The poor mad ill are thrown in the gutter, I like a lot of your posts but that comment there was not well thought out.

I believe Christ was God. Totaly connected.

To the people who think otherwise and believe in re-carnation. What would be the implication of somebody claiming to be God and millions dying in their name the time when they are re-incarnated?

Oh but those who believe in God and the scriptures will tell you that God will banish you to hell if you don't live as your told!!! You can't have it both ways folks. No cake and eat it too! If he is perfect in every way then so be it, but don't say his punishment will put you in eternal misery. That's a flat out lie and the gig is over!

Jesus did not sellout and completed the will of the Father. Satan has been defeated and the Kingdom of God established. Therefore, death has been defeated and Kingdom of God is ours -- if we choose.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for humanity. A free gift of grace.

Jesus was resurrected. And so will we all be.

Jimmy Carter was wrong. Had the offer been taken, all that would be available to him would be death and the grave.

The gospel is the good news for us all:

Christ was born.

Christ was crucified.

Christ has rose again.

Knowing that this a metaphor to begin with...you missed the point. The whole point is to show US what our temptation would be like. God was never even goofily tempted by the "devil" Such a circumstance is impossible. The "devil" evens know this. Interesting thoughts though. Judged already coming in this place...how silly to think..Jesus just might have..lol.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14914603

Some people who don't see Jesus and God as the same being may ask Can God be tempted or can Jesus be.

Passages in the bible suggest God can never be tempted, but Jesus is possible.

How foolish would it be for the Devil to give God what he has control over already? Or to ask the person who has the power over their existance to worship them?

sound like desparate roleplaying

I do admit we need health reform for the middle class. Much of the problem was the sky high prices of our new homes and people taking on more than they can handle. The poorest do get health coverage from the State , so its mainly a middle class struggle. Many middle class dont want socialist medicine cause they are afraid they wont get to choose their doctor.

Our CEO pay is also unregulated, Taking home 30 million plus a year to run a company is not unheard of. Its quite the norm. As they say , its the American dream. You have uncapped potential here to be rich beyond your wildest dreams.

There was a shampoo salemans living out of his car and hes now a multi millionaire today, I cant recall his name. But people like the singer Jimmy Dean and sausage company is a success story as well.

The land of opportunity was there in the 70s and 80s. Its more difficult now as Corporations have gotten so big.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1461274

No! This is a great question! Jesus was tempted. He had to be to complete his full experience as human. He had to know what we face as we face it. That's the whole point of the 40 days in the desert! It marked His acceptance of the Will of the Father and the beginning of his ministry.

Jesus WAS tempted but he said Yes to His Father and "yes" to Him, that we are worth saving! Think about that!

Jesus was in the role of progenitor...THE FIRST of us...it was an example for us. I do believe it was in the heart of "the devil". It was for our benefit to show such a truth. Exposing the unbelievable insanity evil will go to.

Because it says he was tempted says a lot. This fallen angel whom God created with full knowledge of what he would do...was not threat to God only to us. It was an example of the insanity of evil for our benefit. Dear GOD if he thought he could tempt GOD what might he try with you?
