Questions about Niburu and the mindset of believers
Obviously this theory about Niburu has been raging for many years, arguaments for and against its existence and location etc etc etc...

My questions relate to the people that are so utterly certain it exists that it goes almost as far as them being personally offended as soon as someone says it doesn't. To the people that from an outside perspective almost see it as a religion and to be honest it's mostly faith based too.

What, if there is anything, is good about the existence of Niburu?

From what I read it brings floods, earthquakes, tsunami's, hurricanes etc... just death, destruction, pain, loss, fear...

Why are people so utterly compelled for it to be true?

Is it purely so they feel they can 'get one over' on the people at the top. So they can say they were right? Or is the death and destruction what they want?

Does it also sound religious to anyone else, an end times scenario? Is there a correlation between literal believers of revelations and believers in Niburu?

Many questions I know, but I hope to see reasoned answers from both sides.

OP its not a question about Nibiru being a good or bad thing. Obviously if it turns out real its a bad thing because of the destruction it would bring.

The real issue is IF Nibiru is real it's going to make that undeniable in due time where anyone can look up and see it. Then the question would simply be "why were we lied to? Why the cover up on this thing?"

If there are people in the know witholding real evidence on Nibiru they will have the blood of millions of lives on their hands for not letting the truth be known, because it could mean survival for those who are told.

Instead, its left to wild rumor and speculation and debunkers and naysayer making a mockery of those people who are convinced Nibiru is real. If its but a myth, then life goes on and everyone has had their little fun.

BUT if one day you can see something undeniably there AND its causing all the shit happening now, well those naysayers are also culpable for putting people to sleep about this.

Right now its a hard thing to do but you just need to decide for yourself.

Niburu does exist, the reason why this has been kept from the public is because, the powers that be do not wish for the population to be prepared for the coming events...yes it does bring with it catastrophic events, but with it also comes the anunnaki. as it is their home planet..this is the planet that the messiah jesus came to earth from ... i dont know if you beleive in zetatalk but there are some really good shots of niburu and her moons on that site... very soon you will be able to see it for yourself... if you dont know about the anunnaki please do your homework..and i have shots of niburu taken in the 2oclock position and have tried to post but havnt been allowed, isuspect that would be the same the world over... because religion has the world convinced there will only be 144000.00 saved they dont want their comrades to know that they are going to survive and they arent special... and really they are all just slaves just like us ... when that dawns on them they have been lied to as well wot do you think will happen....ltana

Re: Questions about Niburu and the mindset of believers
I believe in cycles.

The Sun revolves about every 27 days.
The Earth revolves about every 24 hours.
The Solar Cycle is about every 11 years.
The Earth revolves the Sun about every 365 days.
Our Solar system revolves the galaxy about every 200-250 million years.

Things happen and then repeat.

Others in the past who survived a Geologic Catastrophe
may have been sent back into a new Stone Age.

They try to warn the future generations of these events with stories and stone carvings.

Mostly the Stone carvings survive the millennium's.

We try to interpret the stone carvings and stories.

The meanings do not sound promising from what I have studied.

So you believe there will be more than 144,000 saved? And by saved do you mean taken onto Niburu too with the Annunaki whilst the rest are left in catastrophe here on Earth?

I suppose this would explain why some are so adament about Niburu and this happening...

I have done research but I am mostly trying to gauge the why's rather than the how's and when's (as everyone has an opinion on the how's and when's)

Thanks for the answer.

I believe there's a risk of suicides, but it needs a catalyst prior to december 21st to make it happen. For heavens-gate, the hale-bopp conspiracy nonsense was that catalyst. In this case, had the comet Elenin hysteria happened later and ended up peaking in December (particularly if it had been a bigger comet and survived), I think that could have triggered suicides.

There's still a few months left for a catalyst to appear, even if it's a complete hoax. It would have to be a high quality hoax though with real staying power and really go viral. Just look how quickly attention was given to "neddy flanders" even though his claims were complete garbage. It took almost no time for astrometry (from both TBar and myself) to show that the coordinates he gave did not match the true coordinates of his image (and that the coordinates of his image matched the coordinates of Venus, Jupiter, and aldebaran), but people were eager to ignore the proof that it was wrong. The nibirutards are primed to fall for any hoax that comes along, and some of them will probably really go over the edge if one comes along that really goes viral.

Agreed... and those idiots making those falsified videos on youtube will have the blood on their hands.

Glad to see there is a voice of reason on GLP... otherwise we would've all been dead at least 100 times now.

But how do you feel about Sitchin's work? I know you've probably answered this question a million times by now, but since I got you here... ;)

I have to admit I wondered about mass suicides and surely this is a massive opportunity for people involved in cults to prey on people who believe this so fervently.

It's quite a scary thought, that people who are taken in so completely by this but are normal people with families, friends that may have come under financial or spiritual problems etc... may be drawn in by psyhopaths and cult leaders and promised eternal happiness on Niburu or whatever they tell them, as long as they kill themselves.

Either that, or the families that invested everything into underground bunkers, supplies for years on end, those types combined with just a little bit of bible fever...

I honestly think an Alien intervention would cause such a fervor to the bible thumpers that they would eliminate their whole families, as it would bring an end to "religious" age.

Or at least to the religion that they harp on about so hard.

Look at what happened when Orwell, (I think it was?) did his radio show, people were killing their families, jumping off roofs, doing all kinds of crazy shit.

Or after due to the all mighty doom never coming and people realizing that they just wasted a whole lot of time and money for nothing?
 Quoting: Archaic Mason

I have to admit I wondered about mass suicides and surely this is a massive opportunity for people involved in cults to prey on people who believe this so fervently.

It's quite a scary thought, that people who are taken in so completely by this but are normal people with families, friends that may have come under financial or spiritual problems etc... may be drawn in by psyhopaths and cult leaders and promised eternal happiness on Niburu or whatever they tell them, as long as they kill themselves.
 Quoting: julieisawoowoo

Either that, or the families that invested everything into underground bunkers, supplies for years on end, those types combined with just a little bit of bible fever...

I honestly think an Alien intervention would cause such a fervor to the bible thumpers that they would eliminate their whole families, as it would bring an end to "religious" age.

Or at least to the religion that they harp on about so hard.

Look at what happened when Orwell, (I think it was?) did his radio show, people were killing their families, jumping off roofs, doing all kinds of crazy shit.
 Quoting: Archaic Mason

That's a great point, no proof, nothing yet there was pandemonium. With the great communication age this could be huge if people wanted it to be... not nice.

Sure is... every day is one day closer to the middle east exploding.

Economical collapse.

Martial Law.

I would put my bet on any one of those things before I put money on Nibubu "Frying my brain to the point of not being able to talk."

I forget who said that shit, but he was like, "you need a lead lined helmet for the passing, or your brain will have everything erased."

Oh my, that was a good laugh when I first heard it.

Here is my take on any "unknown" threat or entity from the universe.

Blast me if you wish. I do not care.

GOD created earth, the heavens, each of us.

He has the power to do whatever HE desires.

GOD is all things.

Jesus said there would be signs and look to the heavens.

Do I believe in Nibiru? I don't know exactly what is going to happen, but with GOD all things are possible.

Okay... rather than a planet that has supposed to be here for the past decade already and not been seen..

How about an asteroid impact, or something along those lines?

Isn't it true we only have FOUR telescopes looking for NEO objects?

That's just absurd to me, to only have FOUR looking for rocks that could end all life on this little blue marble, it's a LITTLE under-funded.

But how do you feel about Sitchin's work? I know you've probably answered this question a million times by now, but since I got you here... ;)
 Quoting: Archaic Mason

Any such planet with an orbital period of 3600 years, even if it only had .7 times the mass of earth, would have already been detected by now.

Unfortunately for Sitchin, that means his Nibiru claim is dead.

Re: Questions about Niburu and the mindset of believers

See Julie, some of us did more than eat our lunch at school.

We learned when you see something that looks like shit, walks like shit, is probably shit.

There is SO much evidence for us having a binary star, or some other cataclysm coming from space that we choose not to ignore those warning like you do apparently.

Now, given your line of thinking, should you be going after Christians, or people who believe in Santa? Right?

People, billions around the world believe there is an all seeing, invisible entity sitting in the clouds, watching and seeing everything we do...and those billions are respected and revered.

What is the difference here? At least scientists and astronomers KNOW for a fact that binary stars are REAL and that we having a single sun is very, very RARE.

There is physical proof of the Nibiru theory, astronomers watch binary stars DAILY in observatories.

This is not science fiction, have you not noticed that the Earth is going apeshit?

What does it take for someone like you to take notice?

That is the real question here.

 Quoting: Dr Drumrdude 21083803

No, it's not. In fact, the majority of stars in our galaxy are actually single:
[link to www.cfa.harvard.edu]
Wide separated binaries, defined as a separation greater than about 200 AU, make up about 9 percent of stars in the local neighborhood of stars, at best:
[link to articles.adsabs.harvard.edu]
If our solar system were a "binary," it would have to be one such system; it's clearly not a close binary system with two stars closely orbiting each other at small distances as many binaries are, so that leaves about a 9% chance of it being a binary based on pure random chance.
There is physical proof of the Nibiru theory,
 Quoting: drumr

Then why are the planets not showing massive gravitational perturbations of their positions?
What does it take for someone like you to take notice?
 Quoting: drumr

Real evidence, not handwaving bullshit to completely unrelated events. Something like coordinates or orbital elements that actually work at finding it, or at least gravitational perturbations of the positions of the planets consistent with its existence.
