R U smelling the scent of flowers

first off..there are those who say smelling roses when none are around is a sign of mother mary watching over you. just saying.

but in regards to your warning, its interesting.. because 2 years ago i was walking down a hallway and smelled a strong odor of roses, and there were none.. and a few days later i had what doctors called a full blown manic episode... i experienced some crazy things and ended up in a psych ward.

so.. care to elaborate why there is warning to associate with smelling flowers?

Your thread caught my eye... Only because I have noticed an odd smell at times, but dismissed it as nothing, or maybe flowers. Sometimes I will notice my entire neighborhood having this sweet/candy/flower smell. It really is indescribable, but I haven't put much thought into it as I basically decided it was a plant or flower. Still kind of odd though, but I do notice it happens more in the Afternoon and Evening. Anyone else experience it.

The only reason I give it a second thought is because it has happened a few times and It can last for blocks at a time when I am walking, and it is not a smell of any plant that i know of.

OP can you explain further what this might be. I'm near Lake Ontario.

I noticed this the most in the past 2 weeks or so the most. It almost comes in whiffs or waves.

That is what a premonition that i had when i was a child... i saw an apparition and it said that i would always have a warning of impending danger which accompany death and when end times come i was to warn others... i havve smelled flowers b4 the chch earthquake b4 mum died and b4 my son was killed ... its never let me dwn and i really feel its tme to warn others again now as to the signs you will alll be aware of but dismiss in your daily lives... dont dismiss please.. this isnt a joke....

it ususlly comes from the west if outside but can come frm any direction .... please pin this thread we will go back to it when things unfold more... i am trying to get a gauge of where and what areas of pple are having an effect of this phenominum .... there we can get a pattern of what is to come

You are smelling the angel of death, dude! I have smelled the strong odour of sweet flowers in a cancer hospital (no flowers are allowed because treatments knock out the immune systems and flowers are known allergens) on more than one occaision, especially in the room where my nan was a day or so before she died. I am sure nurses or workers in elderly care hospitals can attest to this phenomenon.

I read somewhere that all angels emit the smell of flowers, so do saints.

My mother felt the smell of Jasmine today.

But she feels OK...

I have been smelling this phenomina for years, and i dont have a brain tumor, what i was trying to acheive was the areas that pple are smelling this phenomina from and see what unfolds in those areas .....please keep this thread going as i wish to build up a pic of what is to come globally

That's just God's presence for what ever reason in your life. He making himself present to you. It could be for different reasons for each person. I get this occasionally and smile because I know He loves me.

The smelling of roses or flowers has always been understood as the presence of an angel, the Virgin Mary or a saint.

So, it can be a sign that someone is with you before this traumatic events take place, as a comfort, to know you are not alone.

BUT, it is not always a sign of danger. When people pray or experience visions, they can also smell this. It can mean you are accompanied by angels, you are in a deep state of connection with the Divine.

It is called the "odor of sanctity" ....

Thanks, this makes sense. I get these whiffs sometimes, I usually put it down to some hidden air freshener or fabric conditioner etc.

Ive been studying to become a massage therapist. For some reason ive chosen this career path. Something inside telling me to go this route. Anyways, recently ive been smelling flowers everywhere i go. Even when none are around! When i smell it it over powers the smell of the city! Then i get chills that vibrate thru me and around me! Its very strong feeling! Any ideas on what this might be?[liveleak]

I was living in New Orleans 3 years ago (2010). I walked up the outside pathway to my apartment door and was surrounded by the scent of dozens of roses and a feeling of peace. I unlocked and opened the door, entered my apartment, dropped my briefcase, grabbed the dogs harness and harnessed him in order to take him out, opened the door (no more than 30 seconds had gone by) and when I opened the door into the outside pathway, the smell of rotting flesh overwhelmed me to the point of almost vomiting.

Were the roses a warning of what was coming or had I just stepped into a spiritual fight between good versus evil?

Well i just smelled it so where should we run to? Lol

This has happened to me a couple of times... Nothing bad happens though...

I also have this strong chewing tobacco smell sometimes... (I don't chew) but my grandfather used to... May his soul find peace... So maybe this could be related and maybe it is him watching over me? I'd like to think so...

I usually get the smell of myrrh have a relative that always smells roses though.

I just smelled pink roses while in a class discussion. The class is located in the basement and only has 9 people (including professor). The smell was quite strong, unprecedented, and was not an environmental stimuli (no one else present could smell it).

The intensity and pleasantness caught me off guard. Also, the experience didn't last more than a minute, but was extremely impactful.

If anyone I dies in the next few hours/days, I'll provide an update
