A veteran of a California Sheriff's Department... A trainer and an expert witness in a couple of areas in my jurisdiction. I read the complaint (Legal brief filed for suit) and find the allegations to be COMPLETELY INSANE! What the fuck is going on with some cops these days?? Granted, we only have her side, but there's an attorney (Michael Sechrest) who has filed a lawsuit on this, thus I assume that he has some corroborating info. (Such as CAD records, Etc...) The fact that this has even made it this far, based on my experience, means there is some hint of truth to the allegations. For that, I apologize on behalf of my law enforcement cousins.... (I hesitate at calling them brethren as their actions are clearly inexcusable.) It's laid out here for them. Posse Cometatus was neutered when we hired all the returning war veterans and geared them with paramilitary equipment. Now the police unions have even more power and influence, so basically they can do whatever the fuck they want. I've had cops put me at gunpoint more than 4 times and I have no record, and am a college graduate working professional. No shit man, they are just dangerous. |

After a 2 hour delay, and with the Sheriff present this wasn't an impulsive act. The facts we are missing are some combination of: 1. She is the wife of a drug dealer. 2. She is a suspected drug dealer. 3. She in some way attracted the animus of the Sheriff or a county official. 4. She used word or actions that offended the arresting officer. If you read the original Trayvon Martin stories they were unrecognizable as the incident as it is understood today. The Martin family lawyer and the media lied through their teeth. This is the same sort of situation - we are getting the defense side of the story. Some facts are missing here. It isn't likely that the facts will be exculpatory.
