..... Perseid's ...... a cloud of debris left by a comet that we go through every year, if I'm not mistaken....
Quoting: AxE-i-DeNt Yep - the periodic comet P109 'Swift-Tuttle' These 'Perseids Nights' have been a regular annual thing for as long as I've been involved with organised astronomy groups (30+ yrs) Any danger from this 'shower' is remote in the extreme. There's always the chance that a big one might reach the ground, but the chances are astronomical... And yes, that pun WAS intended :)
