Pardon my 'ignorance', but isn't jesus the 'father'? He is god is he not? If that's not the case then you can only expect the most vacuous minds to even attempt to believe the whole thing. 'Faith' is one thing, ignorance another... :-)

A man can't be his own God. A man is a man. Jesus was a man who wanted people to follow his footsteps to get to the father. Worship only the father.

what Jesus is saying with that passage is "nobody comes to the Father without recognizing what I have done, who I am, and what I represent."

No sir he is not. Neither are the angels God. Lucifer wants to be God. Jesus only served God. The anti christ will claim to be God. Many people worship an anti christ version of Jesus of religion. Claiming he is God is blasphemy.

No, that's not what I"m saying. A murderer can repent and accept Jesus and go to heaven, yes.

But, once you repent and accept Jesus as your savior, you are expected to follow His commandments. His commandments are to love your neighbor.

People can claim to accept Jesus, but continue to hate others, hurt others, ignore the suffering of others....and of these people Jesus won't recognize as His own people. You must Love your neighbor if you want to follow Him.

And if you then commit a murder/rape/crime after your conversion you go to hell right, because you broke your 'pact' with christ'and murdered/raped/acted against your neighbour ?

Your cosmos stuff worries me. Where in the scripture did you read this? I tell you what I know out of Love, but I bessech you to search the scripture, the true word of God. Ask him into your heart, and if you have a heart to know him, he will reveal himself.

Normally a person who truly asks Jesus to come into their hearts would never dream of doing something like murdering. It's hard for me to grasp backsliding to this degree!

There is forgiveness with God, though, as long as there is breath within us. We are to forgive others so that God can forgive us our sins.

It's very important that after we ask Jesus to come into our hearts and truly experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit to read the bible.

If a religious person does evil, then that would make them truly not good.

Following God is our reasonable service and duty to Him.
This has been made into a lie by religions and cults.

I could be wrong (and most likely AM) but I think what she's saying is that a person such as Judas who betrayed his best friend- leading him to death, even- may have been forgiven through prayer with God while comitting suicide out of guilt over what he'd done.

We aren't the one to know, much less judge.

It was between he and God.

But God forgives us until the very end- whether bitter or temendous love and grace.

Why people don't look towards this path of such enduring love and acceptance and instead choose a world of Hate for themselves is beyond me.

Yes love is the most important thing. I have love for people even though they hate me and I can get bitter at times, but still feel love. If the holy spirit dwells in me love is there and it can't be moved. Satan hates God loves. Hallelujah brother.

My chief objection ( other than the obvious impossibility of such a celestial soap opera) is that christians seem to think they are the ONLY people on earth capable of being good. And this is completely and utterly ridiculous! It is egotistical and downright rude to assume that someone is intrinsically bad because they don't read the same book as you.
It is this attitude that will until the grave, keep me far far away from the god you so fervently worship. if he exists, he will judge me according to my deeds (not my words) and my treatment of others. In this knowledge I can die at peace :-)

Eternal life is a spiritual phenomenom - it is the spirit stream originating from your soul (not in the body) that animates life forms... This spirit stream can never die...
The body will die, and no, it will not be resurrected...

Knowing that you cannot die is not a license to act irresponsibly... In fact, the more connected with who you really are and the nature of your existence, the less likely you are to engage in chaos...

Understanding also opens up knowledge, where you observe the various control tactics others engage in on this planet, of which religious beliefs are a whopper...

These control tactics are highly effective on this planet...In part, due to genetic manipulation and the resulting dna command structure... In greater part, the spiritual progress a person has made in keeping with your soul's plan...

Not being disrespectful, just honest - the giving away of one's power to external dieties is mid-level in spiritual progression...
