Blistering Heat expected this weekend, Stay safe!!
Blistering heat expected over the weekend with temps as high as 119 degrees. If you hit the beach to stay cool beware of shark populations, they are on the increase and hanging out just offshore for a tasty morsel.
The perseid meteor shower will peak Saturday as well.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe while doing so.

The question most San Diegans are asking themselves right now is, "Can the grid hold up?" The answer is uncertain because, if predictions from the Weather Service prove to be correct, many locals may be scrambling for excuses to stay inside or head to the beach. The northern part of the county could see temperatures as high as 119 degrees.

If this crowd heads to La Jolla, as crowds in that part of the world do, they may very well meet a crowd waiting just offshore. A healthy population of Great White Sharks will be noshing and hanging out offshore.

In fact, one of La Jolla’s main beaches only reopened Tuesday after being shut down Monday following the sighting of a 12 to 15-foot shark. ABC reports that the beach was closed after a lifeguard caught sight of the beast.

Some marine biologists apparently eager to tamp down media alarmism, which is obviously not a problem anyway, took the occasion of the shark sighting to mention that, oh by the way, shark populations have risen steeply along the California coast.

Hit the beach? Are you nuts. Do you have any idea what the UV INDEX will be. Over 10 I'm betting. Stay indoors. Go to the basement. Keep your windows closed during the day and hang dark coverings on them to keep light out.People, get with the program quick. Start to figure things out now. Heat can kill you quick.
