The Sign of the Crow

Now the earth spins, when it spins no more
Hence forth comes the pain but not before
It has been known, known for all along
Yet the fear you know, tells you, you don't belong
When you see the crow, come from the mist
It tells the truth as it exists
You cannot stop it, it is here to stay
All you can hope for is to manage the decay

When you see the sky darken, and the black birds fly
You know it's the crow, you know it's the lie
The crow is the answer, listen for it's caw
For when you hear it, it spells the beginning of the great thaw
The chink of ice, falling into the sea
The debate will be over, and all will agree

Yet the time will have passed, where saving can come
The earth stopped spinning, bang goes the red drum
Plato's great secret is under the Azores
There holds the key, holds the truth you must seek
Or hence forth comes the crow, with death on his beak

The crow, the crow, the crow, banished to your home
In great hopes, that one day your race sees the reciprocal ohm

While the earth still spins, yet it's time is short
When you see the crow, you know, you're past your last resort
