I have to agree with this.

The people in the Military are not the same patriotic god fearing, American loving people of the past. They sure are not the hero's of WWII.

What we have now are liberal minded, paycheck hungry, OWS supporting, entitlement mindsets, and they will kill you for what ever sumbitch convinced them they are right.

I could not agree more. One of the friends I mention here quite often is an Iraq vet, an officer in the US Amry, and an ROTC college commandant.

He told me, off the record, the US military knows for a fact that fewer than 15% of their troops would fire on their own countrymen.

It's all just a matter of brainwashing and declaring selected groups the "enemy". I'm quite sure it'd work, and not only in the USA. People who voluntarily join an army believe in government, orders and top-down power structures. It's easy to manipulate those people into killing their own. It's just a matter of systematic brainwashing. At the point where groupthing has successfully been installed in them ("We're the good guys, they're the enemy"), they're ready to kill.

The US military is the best equiped and best trained military force in the world. Compare this to a militia group that is not trained nor well equiped with modern weapons and night fighting training. The only group that can defeat our military is the political establishment or the military itself through internal fighting. This would not be like the Revolutionary War or the Civil War. It would be a blood bath with most of it coming from the civilians.

If you want to call a little over 4000 troops "fucked up" then go for it.

the problem is, the civilians are unorganized individuals, so even if you have five lean sharp shooter rednecks in a family, you can't fight 100 fatty toy-touting soldiers.

when they take care of this house they move to the next. They can do this all day long as long as salary and benefit won't stop. It's impossible for a civilian to voluntarily open fire at the soldiers to help their neighbor out. Next thing they know, it's your turn.

They don't even need to divide and conquer, citizens are already divided like grains of sand and with a flick of the switch people can't even communicate in modern means any more. Yes soldiers are outnumbered, but the masses don't stand a chance

Don't believe the propaganda. It's Psychological warfare to demoralize the troops. Though I don't doubt suicide rates could be higher, that is exactly what TPTB want. Much of this war is about perception. They want to diminish Americas fighting force through lies, deceit and propaganda because their numbers (10%) are lower than ours (90%). NO FEAR!
