Twin Flames/Soul Mates

i used to believe in soul mates. i thought i had me the one person that complimented me and vice versa. now i'm more of a realist, i don't beleive we have soul mates. i believe we have a few people in the world we are compatible with

I believe that our twin soul or flame is within ourselves, each and every one of us.

Part of our robotic schooling/society programmes us to believe we need that other half.

I believed without a shadow of a doubt in twin flames. I am not with mine anymore. I believe their are soul mates too - not necessarily in the romantic sense either. Someone who teaches you something. They can offer up some of the toughest lessons. Now I am no longer sure of the twin flame idea either.

I would agree with that, Indigo...maybe the supposed two halves of the flame are the soul and the human aspects of ourselves, if that makes sense, the ultimate wholeness coming when these are pulled together in balance?

Naw, soulmates kinda don't exist. I think it's more like we're already all connected, some people just choose to open those feelings towards one or few people. Make a rock your soulmate for a while, love it for being a rock, the curves and texture and how it is. Now try something else until you're free.

Hehe, I already feel at one with all that is in nature. There is nothing more beautiful than being surrounded by the energy of trees and plants. Yes, we are connected to all, including rocks, earth, sky, animals, trees.

yeah I believe in twin flames, had met mine too
it was extremely intense and very short affair, but it catapulted me into wisdom I was longing after.
There is supposed to be imcredible karma that gets built up between twins and if that karma is not worked through and released the meeting of twins can be a very traumatic experience

I did believe in twin flames. Early on in my path, I met a man online with whom I shared the most amazing connection. I have not felt anything since. It can only be described as pure love. We only had to think of one another to feel one another's energy and emotions. Then...he became afraid and did a disappearing act. He reappeared only a month ago, after I first started seeing the 11:11 prompt, but I have to say, the feeling is not the same. I would definitely say that with a few we will meet in life, we will share a connection that is too powerful to cast aside as coincidence.

Those who we share such a close affinity or love with, to me are souls we have met before. If we all belonged to a family of souls and live many lives then it is only natural that in other lives we will encounter the same souls over and over.

Do you ever get moments when you just want all of the answers and truths right now, lol? Time will show the truth in this, I imagine. Maybe Twin Flame is not the right word to use for that intense connection you can find with another that exceeds all others.

sometimes the twin flame doesnt incarnate with you, but rather acts as your spirit guide and you meet up on the higher realm when the mission is complete.(in the case of starseeds, lightworkers etc)

Very true, Starless, I have heard that said. It can all get very confusing with so many ideas floating about. This is why I have largely given up reading books and chosen to follow my inner knowing in the main, such as it is, lol.

of course. no one can tell you who your soul mate is or where you might find him/her. great way to sell books though.

in any case, i trust my intuition and i know it will all turn out as planned.

Likewise, I no longer search for someone. I am always interested in peoples' views on such things as this though.

I used to think twin flames and soulmates were hogwash concepts, until it happened to me. We're unable to stay away from each other. We feel the other's emotions from 1,000 miles away, good and bad. Synchronicities are constantly manifesting. The weird thing is that I saw him in a dream months before I met him online. And we were friends online for months before he sent me a picture and I recognized him as the guy from the dream. What are the odds of even finding him online out of the millions of people out there? It's astronomical, impossible even. Yet there it is. And I didn't even try. It was only a dream, right? lol

For those of you lamenting the absence of your special person, I've found that the intensity is quite frightening in and of itself. It sent me scurrying for awhile. But I couldn't stay away. Maybe yours will return to you someday too.

We finally decided to meet in the real after four years of this. Only weeks away now. Our joke is that we'll either love each other forever or brutally kill each other. Such is the intensity. Oddly, we even have a twin birthmark.

Re the guy without a conscience: Remember that old episode of star trek where captain kirk met his twin in a parallel universe? The other dude was his opposite in many ways, and really bad and devoid of conscience. They tried to kill each other, lol. Much food for thought from the creative geniuses who write it all out for us.

If I ever meet my twin flame I would probably end up throttling him. I have felt very close to different men in my life. I have laughed, cried and felt like I am going mad with one man in particular perhaps he was the twin flame? However time is a big healer and when someone hurts you who you love very much it is very difficult to see them as your twin flame and forgive.
