I know, too simplistic, isn't it? But if you strip away all the vague, 'open to interpretation' bits from any governemnts constitution, this is what remains. Until we rein them back in and hold them to this sustainable role, we'll continue to be treated as numbers to be co-erced into ticking a particular box on a ballot card. Allowing market forces to apply to governments, instead of government forces being applied to markets, will strip the chaff from the core kernel of what services our 'public servants' are mandated to provide. The states were designed by the founders for competition of governments where the corps and the people could chose where to live. So it's at the federal level where this ideal has been de-railed? "If you do not go within You WILL go without." A wiser man than I "Standing on truth Ensures eternal support." "There is a perfectly logical explanation for everything and a logically perfect everything for explanations." A phellow earthling |

Jefferson cut and pasted selected verses from the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in chronological order, mingling excerpts from one text to those of another in order to create a single narrative. Editing his words can't change the history or the existence of his written words. The Bible didn't change when Jefferson altered it to better suit his understanding of it. Sometimes people chose to interpret things for themselves, and not trust another man's interpretation... |

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were two kickass people that created, or largely governed the creation of, my country. The Constitution of the U.S.A. is a revolutionary document that created a nation that was, and could still be, one of the greatest nations ever created. SOME of our people, today, are fat, lazy, largely uneducated and can barely wipe their own ass. Not all of them have fallen to the wayside. Quoting: Boudicca The Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary Soldiers are not to be fucked with and any hillbilly, foreign motherfucker, and/or crazy ass conspiracy theorist that wants to start knocking them can kiss my very well developed mind, body and soul. "The Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary Soldiers are not to be fucked with and any hillbilly..." I agree that they're not to be fuckd with, but please: who do you think were the Minute Men? They were mostly Scotch-Irish "hillbillies". Honey, my family comes from Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana; my husbands family comes from Kansas and Arkansas. We are hillbilly. It wasn't meant as a knock on the group, just at those bitching. |

Guess we can get rid of that pesky extremist document the Constitution as well. Quoting: Jimb0 – The Board removed Thomas Jefferson from the Texas curriculum, “replacing him with religious right icon John Calvin.” [link to thinkprogress.org] Tea Partyers are controlled by fascist. Hitler hated democracy and saw it as a barrier to progress. These Libertarians,Tea Partyers and Republicans are controlled by billionaire fascists and billionaire Communists. From their Liberal Economics to their Social Engineering. Sadly we may have to fight them in the streets if they get into total power because the fascists always try to ethnically and politically cleanse. |

The tea party people I know are interested in small government, fiscal responsibility, sound money and states rights just to name some issues. That doesn't sound fascist or communist to me. In fact the mainstream parties are the fascist/communist parties. They are virtually indistinguishable from each other. Last Edited by s. d. butler on 08/12/2012 12:43 AM |
