The 'system' is not designed to be fair . They don't care if there are no jobs available for college grads, just as long as people keep pumping that tuition money into the universities and students keep taking our loans and becoming debt-slaves.

This is what TPTB want you to invest in. Waste time in meaningless college or University, then "step out into the world" and get a high paying job.

Rarely does one attain it.

I went to college for half a year, realized it was a waste of fucking time and dropped out.

I make $17 an hour right now not in the field I was studying for.

Yeah because that's just what people want.

2 Jobs, work more than 40 hours a week to the point you literally have no life outside of work.

Who the hell would want to work 2 jobs unless you were financially in a bind?

I sure as fuck wouldn't. Working 40 hours a week is MORE than enough for me.

Easily, I pay my bills and don't spend on useless shit I don't need.

College is to make debt slaves. It's super easy to trick them when you promise "Upper middle class" after getting done those four years!


Look into the rules of student loans, they're particularly tricky and forever en-shackling.

What's interesting is of all my friends I am the only college dropout and I make more than all of them. The difference is most of them saw college as the end of their education and hard work. The mentality is "I'm done now give me my money". Most work retail now and actually live envious yet relatively stress free lives.

I slowly worked my way up in the tech industry. While they were in class feeling superior. I worked shit entry level tech jobs learning. Every job I've had has been better than one before. I've spent many hours learning and studying for specialized tech certifications alone, no fancy dorm and weed dealers. No Thursday night bar nights.

One day I found with my knowledge, experience, and certificates I am worth 90k+ in the tech field. They who stopped learning are worth $10/hour in retail. It is not their fault they were lied to and I happened to stumble upon the truth with a little hard work. I think they are little bitter because all I have now. I was always made out to be the dumb one of our group and the laziest because of my attitude towards proper education and dropping out. But I was never one to work hard for someone else. I always saw sitting in a classroom memorizing little more than trivia not an education.

Selling your labor to an employer for wages is usually a losing proposition, especially considering the practically unlimited supply of cheap labor around the world, both skilled and unskilled. Fortunately, there are far better ways to earn a living.

Peasants don't understand how to properly utilize and leverage debt to generate wealthy. It's a major reason for why they remain peasants.

Nope, it is higher pay than that. It is also highly dangerous and there are only a dozen or so underwater welders in the whole USA. Not exactly a job where they will hire you on the spot. Most are independent contractors who have their own businesses.

I live on $13.50 without any government assistance (and no, i dont live in my parents basement)

This is why I'm not pushing my kids into college.....the jobs are few and the grads are many. My son can go into the electrical apprenticeship like I did 29 yrs ago, right now he can start out at 12.50+ benefits and free school while learning on the job. IBEW

Ha, ha! No one said anybody wanted to WORK! They just want high paying jobs right out of school. There are plenty of crops that need harvesting here as well but will bet only Mexicans will harvest. Especially things like watermelons that are really hard work.

I have a college degree, in physics, and I work in a lab for 8.10 an hour. I pay my bills and things are fine. But I work my ass off, honestly its not too bad, my office is air conditioned and I have my own light-bulb.

Thanks for the pin. it is really sad i was searching for work for more than 6 months and i couldn't find anything so i guess i dont have much of a choice.

I'm retired now but my last job was in IT. The company I worked for required 5 years experience to get any consideration at all. Degree or not. And without that degree, a lot of companies won't even consider you.

And it's going to get a lot worse. January 1st, 2013, $1.2 trillion in cuts kick in. It's estimated that 2 million people will lose their jobs. You may soon be out of work. Cut your expenses now before it happens. Notice the timing. After the election. It's all by design....

And there are people like me. No debt and I have money in the bank. And I quit spending money. I don't even get a credit card statement any more. I know what's coming....
