People should be smarter than to use a .gov website to protest anything related to the federal government. Quoting: CatBTX Yet you bomb countries to bring DEMOCRACY. I haven't bombed anybody. Our rogue federal government has. Why don't you start a petition on the .gov website. I'm sure they'll take your complaint with a straight face. |

I am a middle aged blonde hair, blue eyed, fair skinned Australian women...traveling with my clearly identifiable autistic/intellectually disabled 14 year old son. As if that ain't stressful enough. I along with my son have been twice subjected to the indignity of full xray..followed by an additional TOUCH UP.. in the last month since entering USA. I told them..please take care touching my son he is autistic and fearful of being touched due to sensory problems...my son was clearly showing signs of fear and confusion...Did that stop them??? NO!!! Where are my civil rights??? What crime did I commit??? I can't believe you have to willingly subject yourself to this physical violation just to travel. |

We have those that push in the name of democracy and then want to usher in a democratic society. That is their view of a democratic society. It is started under this veil of equality for all. But the truth is the equal part is to keep everyone down on a manageable plane. Unless you break out of it and into the ruling class, or born into it. Those in power elevate themselves above everyone else and appease them with their silver tongues while levying heavy burdens and taxes on the people to trap them in the system that feeds the rulers appetites. Does this should sound familiar to you? “If Noah’s flood really did occur, what would you expect to find? Billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the earth.” And guess what we find? Billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the earth. |

People. All petitions have to have real peoples names, addresses and phone numbers to be valid.Signatures usually also. The best way to do this is in person. In writing. Usually there is a time frame for things also. Half ass attempts get met with half ass responses or no responses. You mean you couldn't even get 25000 people to do this. The States is Fucked if you the people can't even accomplish this. Apathy is winning. You guys are lost. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9158326 ^^ THIS ^^ On-line petitions are NOT valid for the reasons cited above. Almost daily, I have to reply to some moron who forwarded some on-line petition to me and remind them that on-line petitions are USELESS! Those "patriots" are usually so EMOTIONAL about whatever it is they're protesting that they don't even listen to reason. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9158326 as if the apathy came into existence all on its own. as if there were no legitimate cause for everyone to just give up and stop trying to do things officially. as if all our problems right now, cant all be traced to the fact that people are feeling desperate and powerless and doing things in an attempt for control. too many people. |

Use every instrument available to have voices heard. "With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests: "Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world." "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |

If online petitions are invalid, then why is the Obama administration hosting online petitions on the Whitehouse.gov website? Please explain. Is the Obama administration purposely encouraging fraud by hosting these petitions (and then removing them at their whim)? |
