NASA Mars rover image - why am I looking at a road?
The image in this link distinctly shows what looks like a road zig zagging to the top of the Gale crater, reflecting the light...

It looks identical to how a road would like in any desert on earth with the light reflecting off the smoother, well worn surface, does it not?

OP,

NASA wants to apologize, apparently you got hold of the "Un-Edited" photo's.

Please send it back to NASA for a "Replacement" photo.

Thanks,

Whats the deal with the hazy atmosphere? I was pretty sure there was not one on Mars, minus the methane pockets protruding from the caverns. Does it not have a blue hue to it as well, suggesting light refraction off a certain gas?

It's called photoshop. Adding mountains from the mohave, onto the desert sand from Nevada.

NASA is trying to make it harder for us to find matching photos on google.

That makes more sense than Mojave, Utah, Nevada or Arizona, where some civilian could stumble across the rover by accident, and immediately Tweet his finding to the world on his I-Phone.
