Don’t be alarmed if armored military vehicles are spotted on Sheboygan County roadways.

Starting today until Aug.17, soldiers from the 102D Military Police Company will be training on M1117 Armored Security Vehicles on roads in the area.

well i for one will never feel ok with these vehicles driving through my neighborhood.
warning or no warning.

i can not come up with any reason for this kind of training to be going on....this does not need to happen.
why now can the military not be able to train their forces on the military bases like they have for over 100 years?

are they training us to be ready for the military to be on our street everyday!

Sheboygan County Administrator Adam Payne said he had not heard about the training exercises. Two city officials declined to comment, because they also had heard nothing about the training.

so know city officials know about this......
how can the military put their vehicles and personnel on public streets..in neighborhoods and not talk to any city officials?

unless we are under a police state...where the military can go and do as they please!

Its Called Disaster. You'd all be screaming your heads off if they didn't and somthing happened. You can't have it both ways so pick one. Help or no help. In an Emergency there will be looters and anarchy. Do you really think people will just behave themselves.Another thing. Alot of people have no skills these days. Can you clear the roads or remove fallen tree's without help. How many of you have chainsaws and tools.People aren't even in good physical condition. Most people will sit there and die without help. Get real people.

so your saying our military can not learn to drive these vehicles on their bases anymore.
that they most drive around in peoples neighborhoods?
if there was a disaster yes they should be in the area of the disaster.
but just out for a morning drive through peoples neighborhoods should not be taking place.

what is next live fire in your backyard.
well they need to practice so if they are needed they can shoot around your kid's swing sets!

i hear crossing children's sandboxes can be almost as difficult as moving though the desert.

since when do we need the marines to come and do tree removal?

why have we not sent teams down to the sink hole where they have issued evacuation for residents for up to 40 days now?

this is about training the masses so that when these military vehicles are out and around all the time ..no one cares anymore.
so this will be NORMAL in the US.

oh yes i was.
and lived outside of Chicago.
my uncle was sent into the downtown riots with live round in his gun.
my father was brought to his job in downtown Chicago by a jeep with a 50 cal. on the back...there were 50 cal. guns on the corner of his Il. bell office building.

so are we going back to that....but this time not just in the big cities? but all towns and cities?

I have been in riots, trar gassed, attaked by troops w/ nightsticks and tear gas.

We had a riot at my campus in May, 1970 and I never got to graduate from college. right after Kent State.

Newark Tactical Police went crazy on the kids.

If that wasn't bad enough, I was a block from the first explosion of the Newark riots in 67.

You know they make those vehicles there right?

my sister on the other hand was in it then.


so what was all that fighting for back then...if here we are again in 2012.


during the 2004 convention in NYC i was out projection video images from Iraq and Afghanistan.
we set up and were doing this on the vent to the Holland tunnel. the images size was about 60'x 80'.
we had a internet feed and were get images very fresh and putting them up.
that night i to got to look down the barrel of a M16. and faced with police in black masked. we just laughed at them.
they did make us turn off the projectors. no arrests...they could not find the laws that said it was illegal to project on building...so a NYC official came and said since there was no laws saying we can or can not project on buildings...um, you can not!

this is not about transporting equipment...but this is a publicly noted TRAINING MISSION!

folks we have fought 2, yes 2 urban WORLD WARS..creating new equipment to use in the fighting and never needed to send our troops out into the public for their TRAINING MISSIONS!
this is not about training the troops!
