Have you guys noticed how the "end times" just keeps getting moved farther and farther out in time? 2000 then 2011 then 2012 and now 2016!

Didn't you get the memo. Its still on track. But its not going to end the whole world. The suffering for everybody is yet to come. The natural Catastophy's are just going to nibble away at us a little at a time. We need a big pandemic to wipe a bunch of us out. I actually hope a pandemic happens. We need a big culling out. There's too many of us. One way or the other its over sooner than later.

Realistically, how much farther can we push the environment, the food supply, the itchy trigger fingered demons with their hands on the bomb switches, and the money system? Never mind incoming planet sized crap and pole flips etc....

If you go with Biblical prophecy then we would see 2012 being the beginning of the end. With the rise of the anti-christ, we'd actually have peace in the middle east and 7 years of a pleasant planet before things go amok - so that would take us to 2019 or 2020'ish.

The various ancient calendars that end this year, indicate some type of dramatic change. Could be a meteor or volcano or some combination of natural disaster. OR could be the ET's are due back and that surely will change everything.

When you toss actual science into the mix - we are going through the hottest section of our galaxy. We're already seeing the effects of drought here in the US. At the pace grocery prices are climbing - many people are going to be going hungry by the end of the year. Science isn't quite sure how hot we'll get, how long it will last - they just have no data. But another year like this in the US and heaven forbid it happens in the rest of the world at the same time - there's no argument that we very quickly will see our way of life change dramatically.

(Side note: Personal theory of mine is this upcoming "heat wave" may be the reason we've been "fattened" up. It is actually possible that TPTB know famine is heading our way, so they've plumped us up to increase our odds of survival. Choosing the USA for the fattening actual makes sense because we have the most genetic diversity and would be able to ensure a healthy civilization after the "disaster" passes. Again, just one of my many personal theories. No hating!)

Anyway, I could go on with a lot more scenarios. Bottom line is we won't know until it gets here. If it's something like the birth of the anti-chris - then we won't know for decades yet. But so many things point to this being THE year - I have hard time believing nothing will happen at all. Unless they all borrowed from one original source - which if you think about it...is also an intriguing idea. How and why would that one prophecy get adopted globally and last for so many generations? Kinda neat!

I'm just excited to be actually living through an ancient prophecy. I don't really care if nothing at all happens. It'll just be cool to be able to say I was there! :o)

IMO, this year is the last option. After this, I will have a hard time believing anything end-times related. This is make or break time.

The end times have been getting pushed forward my entire life, way before the internet. That will never change becuase it'll never come. You'll get to an age in your life wondering why you wasted your time and energy on this crap. All this end time doom talk does is represent this generation's lack of confidence in the present state of affairs, they'll change or get worse as usual. You never get that time back, start living.

Some sources also indicate 2013 is the start of the 7 years of tribulation until 2020.

Not really. There have been small pockets of end times predictors - and most people didn't buy into it.

2000 was an end time for a small fraction of small religious sects. As was the year 1000 and every century mark.

But the Y2K bug doom wasn't ever going to be an end time scenario - it was just going to be an inconvenience. It was a very real threat but 30 years of rewriting code with a heavy push starting in 1997 and billions of dollars invested in getting stuff fixed in time, saved us from the slight chaos.

2012 is different. There are a LOT of things pointing toward it being some type of change. It's just very convoluted on exactly what the "doom" is and how bad it's going to be. See my post above for some of the scenarios.

2016 - and 2013 and 2017 - are dates that come after the initial 2012 event occurs.

It's all very curious and I think interesting. :o)
