Doctor on trial in China for swapping kidney for iphone and ipad
A surgeon and four other people are on trial in central China over the case of a teenager who is said to have sold a kidney to buy an iPhone and iPad 2, state media reported on Friday.

The state-run China Daily newspaper said that 18-year-old Wang Shangkun is in serious condition after receiving an illegal transplant operation last year.

The five people on trial stand accused of intentional injury and illegal organ trading over the removal and sale of the organ and face three to 10 years in prison if convicted, the paper said.

I wonder what would have happened if OJ said "but she agreed to it" when she said "till death do us part".

People also agree to abuse drugs and overdose. They then end up in a nursing home on the tax payer dime for the rest of their lives. BUT THEY AGREED TO IT!

And as you can see in this case, the reason WHY it's illegal is the impact on society.

At 17 the kid was a minor, does not matter what he agreed to, adults need to be smarter than the 17 yr old kids you would hope Drs would be, guess not. They deserve to fry...this is disgusting.

This is horrible. How dare that 18 year old sell his kidney. He is being exploited! He should donate it, that isn't exploitation.

You see when the doctors and hospital get paid and he doesn't it isn't exploitation. How isn't it? It just isn't! If he were to receive financial compensation then it would be exploitation!!!

Please think of the innocent people who are selling kidneys and making money from it. They shouldn't be allowed. They should only be allowed to give them away for free!!
