Quitting Weed
I am going to chime in, cos I quit today and I need you all to make my succes durable

I smoked 20 years+, 22 to be exact, and only had one stop of 7 months 5 years ago.

I am not looking forward to tonight!
feel the sweats already...

I still have one blunt...., and it's staring at me...

I grew up in 'Bob Marley' time, and when I was in the army I started to smoke to his tunes, and also Alpha Blondy, thought if 'fit me', but it doesn't I guess..

I need to quit and face things..., and this is gonna be my thread to do so.

THE RIGHT SIDE WON:)

Here's the thing.

If you smoked nearly everyday, you may find that, after you quit for a bit, you paid a price.

Many are the cases of suspended adolescence.
And you may find out that you have lost some ground to that.

If you endeavored to have a balanced life while you smoked, perhaps not.

This is not to diss weed. It's a great thing in many ways.
But it does have a downside for a lot of people as well.

Knowing that potential downside going in would do much to alleviate anybody experiencing such effects on and in life while they smoked.

Unfortunately, we don't have a society rigged to accommodate and compensate for happy travels for all.

Lol at people acting like weed is a bad drug. Less addictive than caffeine and way less harmful than alcohol. I smoked for years and quit, shit is not hard.

Thank you for stepping in:)
16 hours since my last blunt..

Shall we make this our quitting thread?
You can vent, I can vent, and anybody can chime in.

I don't want to smoke anymore, did it 20 years_+ and all I got was some spiritual insights...

has been hard. but if i didnt quit i would be throwing my whole life in the trash, as i wasnt holding things together any more getting stoned all the time. was making me wig out and wouldn't let me do normal things. i just wanted to hang out by myself and get high.

what has motivated you to stop? whats happening in your life or in you that means you have to stop now?

just curious, and reaching out to another person stopping.

Re: Quitting Weed
You need to find something to occupy the time you normally spent smoking.

Doesn't matter if it's playing guitar, hiking, running, computer programming; anything that will take your mind off of smoking.

You need to strengthen your frontal lobe as well. This can be done through exercise and other means... google it.
