Anonymous Coward User ID: 21732832 United States 08/13/2012 08:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am going to chime in, cos I quit today and I need you all to make my succes durable Quoting: Fun-Da-Mental I smoked 20 years+, 22 to be exact, and only had one stop of 7 months 5 years ago. I am not looking forward to tonight! feel the sweats already... I still have one blunt...., and it's staring at me... I grew up in 'Bob Marley' time, and when I was in the army I started to smoke to his tunes, and also Alpha Blondy, thought if 'fit me', but it doesn't I guess.. I need to quit and face things..., and this is gonna be my thread to do so. Here's the thing. If you smoked nearly everyday, you may find that, after you quit for a bit, you paid a price. Many are the cases of suspended adolescence. And you may find out that you have lost some ground to that. If you endeavored to have a balanced life while you smoked, perhaps not. This is not to diss weed. It's a great thing in many ways. But it does have a downside for a lot of people as well. Knowing that potential downside going in would do much to alleviate anybody experiencing such effects on and in life while they smoked. Unfortunately, we don't have a society rigged to accommodate and compensate for happy travels for all. |

Less addictive than caffeine and way less harmful than alcohol. I smoked for years and quit, shit is not hard. Quoting: Patrick Bateman ^^THIS^^ I have smoked on and off since I was 14, and I had a harder time quiting drinking soda then I ever did with weed heck I go months without smoking with no side effects :sigjosh: :ronswansontax: “We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with.” Ron Paul . “My idea of a perfect government is one guy who sits in a small room at a desk, and the only thing he’s allowed to decide is who to nuke. The man is chosen based on some kind of IQ test, and maybe also a physical tournament, like a decathlon. And women are brought to him, maybe ... when he desires them.” Ron Swanson |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 16151153 United States 08/13/2012 08:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You need to find something to occupy the time you normally spent smoking. Doesn't matter if it's playing guitar, hiking, running, computer programming; anything that will take your mind off of smoking. You need to strengthen your frontal lobe as well. This can be done through exercise and other means... google it. You may also be interested in a book called Change Your Brain, Change Your Body by Daniel Amen. It will help you in your endeavors. |
