Well now, that certainly was anti-climatic... getting the same feeling as when I wrapped up the Dark Tower series many moons ago...  It all became clear later...  I'm on the third of the series...does that story become clear at some point??  I am not sure what you are asking exactly(been a while), but yes, I believe it will all become clear for you... Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent piece of storytelling, just remember, the joy is in the journey rather than the destination... -sorry for side tracking thread a bit but perhaps it was no sidetrack, after all
