Good thread, OP.

Psalm 46:10

Just be still and watch in amazement.

It's really all anyone can do at this point.

Then I suppose there is really no need to exist at all. Or we exist only to be still and watch? Is that the moral of the story? Participating with existence is about being still and watching? Is that the philosophy? Some deeper existentialist thought that I am missing about existence? So observation alone is existence?

By even making a comment one is more than an observer. Doing more than being still. One is participating in observation. Participatory observation? Are you familiar with that concept? Is the Bible familiar with that concept? Or are you speaking of the concept that the very act of observing creates change?

I did not read back through this thread. Perhaps my questions have already been answered. If not, it would be great if you give it a try. Not ‘give it a try’ in like a gamey way, but like, another way. Beyond a Bible verse type way. Beyond the old paradigm selected lines and verse.

Especially since we are discussing the concept of a new paradigm here. Or so I thought that is what is being discussed. Do you want a new paradigm? Or is this about rewriting the old one? Updating the language of an old one?

Are we being participatory observers in rewriting old paradigms? Or writing new ones? Seems at some point one really must, yes, make the time to be still and know the answer to those last two questions, especially. (Unless seat of one’s pants quantum chaos is one’s only bag.)

But do keep in mind that by making the time to answer such questions, or even reading them, or even checking back to see if some one made a comment to your comment, you will be doing more than observing. More than being still. Whether you answer them aloud with a comment or not. You will be participating in watching yourself exist.

Perhaps one could call that ‘amazement’. Amazement, to me, almost seems a disclaimer against disappointment. But that is probably just me. I suppose both amazement and disappointment can be equally observed in the be still and know I am God lingo and one may find that amazing. Depends how much one enjoys watching themselves I suppose.
