The DOC NOAA National Weather Service - Western Acquisition Division ? Boulder requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following:
LI 001, 16,000 rounds of ammunition for semiautomatic pistols to be factory-loaded .40 S&W caliber, 180-grain jacketed hollow point (JHP). No reloads may be used with these weapons. All service furnished ammunition for issued firearms will be U.S. factory production.

ANOKA, Minn., March 13 (UPI) -- As many as 450 million rounds of .40-caliber ammunition are being produced for U.S. government agencies by ATK of Minnesota.

The order comes under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for HST bullets.

The NOAA Is Shopping For 46,000 Rounds Of Ammunition

Following a request for 450 million rounds of ammunition for DHS and ICE earlier this year, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is looking for 46,000 rounds of ammunition for the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service stations in Ellsworth, Maine, and New Bedford, Mass., are slated to receive 16,000 rounds of .40 S&W jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullets.

During the first 4 years they've passed all the laws and signed all the EO's. They've created their civilian army and then some. Now, they'll have their phoney election and the police state/take over will be implemented.

DHS getting the high-power ammo.

NOAA getting the 0.40 hollow points.

Not the same.

So, they are making sure they are fully armed and ready for...anything...

and the average citizen will be unarmed...except for those unknown millions with firearms.

NOAA Requests Ammunition For The Weather Service

All the ammunition and targets are being spread out over the US to three locations, Ellsworth ME, New Bedford MA, Wall NJ, and St. Petersburg, FL. Only the 24,000 rounds are being sent to Florida, no targets will be shipped there.

This all comes after the Department of Homeland Security requested a contract with manufactures for over 63,000,000 rounds rounds over the next 4 years.

Could not the US Government simply re-allot the ammunition from DHS to DOC? What is it about being a weather person requires the training and use of a firearm? What future event is coming that makes the National Weather Service believes it needs to train and arm it’s employees?

About all I can figure is that meteorologists may often be dispatched to places where there has been a lot of destruction -- such as into blacked out areas after an ice storm, or the aftermath of a hurricane -- where they would have to fend for themselves amid looters.

Because of course the guards at their facilities throughout the country are all unarmed...

Title should read "Billions". This is a second order. The first for 450 million and a second for 750 million. They must have realized they aren't very good shots. The question is where will the get the man power to fire them. I think they have plans to dissolve federal, state, county and locals under the umbrella of DHS.

DHS Purchases Massive Explosive Nitrates – Scrubs History

Can anyone explain what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) needs with 700 pounds of High Density Ammonium Nitrate and 700 pounds of A-5 Flake RDX?

Well the DHS placed a solicitation by way of the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) for these products with a delivery date of August 31, 2012.

For those of you in the know, these are the ingredients to build a makeshift bomb.

However the project claims it is for “Canine Explosive Training Aids”.

One wonders what they need with over half a ton of explosive nitrates.

Congress gave oversight to DHS of procurement of ammonium nitrate after requesting they “regulate the sale and transfer of ammonium nitrate by an ammonium nitrate facility…to prevent the misappropriation or use of ammonium nitrate in an act of terrorism.”

Another US agency has submitted a request for a variety of ammunition. This time it is the US Forest Service in the Pacific Southwest Region of the United States, which is responsible for 20 million acres of National Forest land in California and assists the State and Private forest landowners in California, Hawaii and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands.
