The price of cigarettes everywhere is the same.... DEATH.

I can't help that the air is poisonous, but I can help putting a cancer stick in my mouth. The air outside, even in most big cities, isn't remotely as dirty as it was 40 plus years ago. In fact, it's generally quite clean, especially along the coast. Inland cities like Atlanta, Dallas, even Denver, or SoCal where smog can be trapped in by big mountains, the air can be a lot dirtier. The real dirty air is found INDOORS, in office buildings, industrial buildings, malls, houses with central air on all the time, even hospitals and cars/suvs/trucks. Most people get URI [upper respiratory infections] get it from poor quality indoor air, not from outdoor air. In general, outdoor air is A LOT cleaner, even in cities, than indoor air.
