Suicide Forest in Japan! 100 dead bodies + a year!!

yeah, I don't know if you remember the Japanese downsizing stories back in the early 90's? I was working in a big office building then, and actually getting downsized right here in America, so it was kind of poignant...

In Japan, if you got a desk near the window, it meant you were going to be "out" soon. So if you got a desk near the window, it was like shear hell and people would kill themselves just based on that. Anyone remember this?

I am Japanese. And this is not a new thing, this has been going on since before written history. Mt. Fuji is pretty easy to see from long distances, and many Shinto believe in forest/tree spirits, so people would travel long distances to be with them.

I had camped in Aokigahara with a friend with a voice recorder and a couple of cameras, and we heard some pretty creepy voices on the wind. I did not get any sleep that night. We found a couple of new pictures that had not been weathered yet and a campsite with a new tent and cooking supplies abandoned. Obviously someone had wandered off to kill themselves.

oh ya, it must be haunted as hell! gah!

I need to camp out there one day. This is the stuff I thrive on.

Aokigahara is VERY haunted. I've heard all the stories.

I should get a hotdog stand and convert it to a helium stand, sell it on ebay over there for bank $$$$
