Wouldn't be too quick to call someone else an ass. Bananas DO have seeds. They are small and sterile, but they do have seeds.

Like grapes, people have found and cultivated seedless mutations.

Would you like to explain why you think that every plant which doesn't have seeds should be extinct, even though that clearly isn't the case? Like algae doesn't have seeds, but isn't extinct. Why is that?

I don't care what you think about me, but if you're asking if I believe in evolution, it would depend on what your definition is.

I don't like these threads either for many reasons. The prime one being that there are often two sides arguing an issue with no basis for argument because each side is holding a different definition . Rather than discussion it turns into sniping.

Yep, containing millions of mathematical/chemical equations, the divine blueprint to assemble the miracle of life. That's where the stupid test stops and divine/scientific education begins.

well that is all well and good but there is no reasonable discussion to be had with those that just say god did it end of subject. and if you try to introduced accepted knowledge on the subject of evolution you get no real debate. how about this maybe there is intelligent design but it includes evolution. i know not an original thought - but for this idea you would in all likelihood have to throw out most of the bs dogma and fairytale. which i suspect is the most coveted part of the fantasy. so can you give up a personal god -guy with white beard and all that an be open to the possibility of some kind of consciousness that may or may not have intelligently influenced all things including evolution. discuss..

might be more helpful to have yours but i go with the accepted: a. Change in the genetic composition of a population during successive generations, as a result of natural selection acting on the genetic variation among individuals, and resulting in the development of new species. so whatever your definition is i can assume you are ok with the creator possibly having intelligently designed all things perhaps billions of years ago if not much longer rather then the idea that creation is 6000 years old - is it?

I agree with the bolded but in the case of humans and some animals, they seem to devolve, rather than evolve.

I haven't a clue on how long the earth has been in existence. There are different theories and at this point, I think that's all they are, theories. There are some that offer their evidence, and it seems plausible, but then another offers a theory opposing it, and it too seems plausible.

In the scheme of things, how long it's been in existence doesn't seem as important to me as the fact that it is in existence.

I do believe God created this wonderful world around us and the first two people to inhabit it, and that he wants us to learn about not only His World, but His Word. I also think there are many things we don't understand.
