I had a tiny coarse haired little cat that was an incredible hunter. I lived up the bush in a big shed and one morning she had lined up 6 bush rats all in a row at the foot of the stairs. she was all smiling and purring when I came down |

Intelligence and awareness are not confined to our species. This statement is readily observed by a study of cats. |

Matter of fact, that's why they were domesticated for cohabitation with humans in the first place, to protect the food supply from vermin. Welcome to the planet Earth, OP. I take it you're new here. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21967006 United Kingdom 08/15/2012 04:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look at it this way, domestic cats are fed they do not need to hunt to survive, when they hunt it is out of instinct and for sport. A cat will catch the prey and play with it and last of the activity will usually involve biting the head off the catch, that is when you will be left a little surprise at the door, the cat is simply showing you what it has done, you should be pleased, the cat is keeping control of what would otherwise be pest activity around your home. I have had rats mice and rabbits, all without heads left outside the back door. Nice! |
