IF and when it did happen, it will be in a totally unexpected manner. People attribute our ways to the aliens,how can you possibly think they'd have a prime directive or believe in your free will. Being advanced, they'd probably behave in ways you can't even imagine. Speculation is all you have, NOBODY knows for sure. I'd rather know first hand than to listen to what ifs and could ofs from people who just DON'T KNOW.

People are under the impression that aliens ride the cosmos looking to bail out retards who can't manage their own affairs. Why would anyone think an alien race would want contact with a lesser race ? Hope springs eternal I guess. Probably the same reason why you would help someone in a 3rd world country.
