How could there be any aliens | |

There are planets and moons everywhere not only in our galaxy but in others as well. This is proven science. I'm wondering what drove you to make such a statement. I had a telescope as a kid. Did you miss out on that ? I saw our nearby planets with it, but you soon understand how far away the other stars are. What we need is a bunch of Hubble Scopes in space linked together. Then we could get pics of these planets. And your doubt would die. |

There are in fact 5.6 Trillion planets with human life on them. By human, there are many body types, HUman means THINKING MAN in some form on them. makes earth seem like a dot on the screen of the cosmos and it is. AND HEAVEN IS PLANETS TOO. SPECIALLY CONSTRUCTED PLANETS. LIFE IS VERY VERY OLD. |

I don't think the moon is really a moon.. IF THIS IS A PLANET, CERTAINLY OTHER SUNS MUST HAVE PLANETS TOO. The moon is not a moon, though, its a CRAFT. |

Between the ability of an advanced civilization to shoot itself in the foot and those ever present space rocks, survival as an advanced civilization is a little precarious. We have searched almost 800 solar systems. We haven't found a single rocky planet with water in the sweet spot like earth. Gliese 581g is the closest we have come: * Three times larger. * Three times closer than Mercury (about 1/9 the distance of the earth from the sun). * It's orbiting a tiny dwarf only 2/3rds as warm as the sun. * Very little visible light - not much energy for photosynthesis. * Surface temperatures from 160 to -26 (planet is almost tidally locked). * Since it does rotate - but very slowly - the surface gets periodically sterilized. The odds of finding a planet like earth are 0.12% and getting smaller all the time. There are 300 billion stars. Lets assume the average civilized time on a planet is 200,000 years. Lets assume the average period a planet is habitable is 3 billion years. The Galaxy is about 13B years old * 300 billion * .12 = 380 million planets. * 380 * 3/13 = 88 million * 88 million * 200,000/3 billion = 5,800 civilizations that we would consider civilized. If ET is out there there aren't many of them. Last Edited by Poriwoggu on 08/16/2012 10:04 AM Poriwoggu |

So the 5800 really should be 7100. However I cheated and counted earth. Since the creationists think God created this planet we won't count it. So the odds of finding an earthlike planet are 0/777 or 0/638. Take your pick. Last Edited by Poriwoggu on 08/16/2012 10:13 AM Poriwoggu |
