Lets take diphtheria. Based on 1920's statistics it will kill 42,000 children a year if we don't vaccinate.

Hepatitis B kills 5000 US adults each year from liver disease as it is - and we are vaccinating.

Measles will kill about 900 per year.

Chickpox would kill 150 per year.

Pertussis would kill 10,000+

Meningitis kill 600 and cripple many more.

Now what exactly are the vaccine side effects?

I'll let people fight over the flu vaccine. Don't get it and aren't interested in defending it. It is whipped up every year and each batch has its issues. However - these other vaccines need to get serious attention. The current side effects once the background incidence are removed is not very high. The rate of vaccine death is just a handful. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make things safer. Doesn't mean we shouldn't give them.

The people who oppose vaccination appear to be mostly freeloaders who want the benefits of vaccination without having their children involved. This is selfish and arrogant.
