Statistics show that Holmes (allegedly) killed and wounded far more people than a lone shooter (except for the questionable Brevik case in Norway). Statistics show the presence of a second shooter in Aurora.

Here is a list of fairly recent mass murders, lone shooters who killed many people with firearms. You will notice that the number of wounded tops out at about 30, around half of the number of wounder in the Aurora shooting.
