I was sure it was a scam and I gave them no info - they still think I have a brother. I did have the police come out for several reasons - to validate the experience, to put the info into "proper channels," and to provide a puzzle piece in case anyone's putting one together. same reasons I posted here. Of course they really won't do anything with the info. There are plenty of more concrete issues for them to deal with. Again, thanks for commenting. I've raised my vigilance a notch - maybe two...
