Okay, this is my last day here. GLP banned me again (and also a friend) so I'm not renewing my subscription. I feel either GLP tries to control posts or forces subscriptions. Anyway, it's the principle that bothers me.

I also don't need to spend hours here anyway! I find GLP addictive. So, I'm going to learn to play chess instead of hanging out here so much. I think it's a better use of my brain! I already have a friend who wants to play once I have the basics down.

I'll check back from time to time since GLP lifts the ban once in a while. But basically, my subscription needs to be re-newed tomorrow and I won't be doing that.

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone for all the posts. I've learned a lot about my new country and look forward to the big move. I think things will fall into place within a month or so.

So, a heart-felt thanks to all of you and I wish everyone the best.

Only one thing you need to know about Amsterdam, OP; Don't move there.

Amsterdam is a disgusting, crowded place, full of people who are so far up their own asses that they can't see the light of day. Hence why they are called.... KUT 020.

Try somewhere like around Rotterdam. Maybe even Utrecht or the suburbs around it... Hilversum is nice, as is Bussum, etc... Zeeland is also neat, but you will have no night-life. I also dig places like Venlo because Dutch AND German is acceptable. It is as close as you can get to living in Germany without having to actually put-up with Germans. :P
