Paul Ryan voted against the stimulus bill, then asked for funds from it for his district. So long to his reputation.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan on Thursday denied for a second time that he ever lobbied the government for stimulus money, even though he sent letters -with his signature - to the Energy Department and Labor Department asking for millions of the program's dollars on behalf of two companies in Wisconsin.

Ryan's new denial in an interview with Cincinnati's WCPO-TV contradicts letters that Ryan wrote in 2009 to Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis seeking stimulus grant money for two Wisconsin energy conservation companies. One of them, the nonprofit Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp., later received $20.3 million from the Energy Department to help homes and businesses improve energy efficiency, according to federal records.

It appears as though Ryan isnt as squeaky clean as first thought. He voted against the stimulus bill and has said repeatedly that he didnt ask for any of the money for his district. Romney's pit bull seems more like a chihuahua now.

This is why I theorize that Romney threw this election. There are many more reasons to NEVER pick Paul Ryan.

Also, here is how pathetic and desperate the "left" are, according to current polling data. If the election were held today this would be the result.

I think this is going to come down to syntax.

Was the stimulus money segregated from regular everyday grants?

But I digress...

in at least one case this was grant money to a NON-PROFIT that was making taxpayer homes (that qualified) more energy efficient? Stuff like blown in insulation.

OMG!!

What a friggen horrible thing to do!!

Re: Paul Ryan voted against the stimulus bill, then asked for funds from it for his district. So long to his reputation.
See this is what gets me about GLP's posters. You complain about media bias. But flat out ignore anything that challenges your narrative. This hyper-conservative belief that Obama is an evil marxist, and will be defeated, soundly. When the numbers tell a completely different story. Now Romney has re-geared his campaign in lieu of this fact. The Ryan pick was intended to fire up his base. If his base wasn't already energized, you know he has problems. Now this Ryan pick is going to push away independents, and anyone on a federal public program. Tell me how you right wingers intend to win Florida, campaigning on the "Ryan plan"?
