Why do christians act and think like they are better than others?

Not all Christians are like that

Sorry, I'm a Christian, go to church every Sunday and play in the worship band. I personally don't know any Christian's who are like that though I'm sure they exist. I know I sin weekly, daily, probably hourly. That's why I'm a Christian.

It's really a stupid way to think. If you know anything at all about what Christianity IS, then you know people are Christian's because they sin, not because they don't! If Christian's didn't sin, they wouldn't need Christ. The whole point of Christ is that he died for our sins. If we didn't sin, then that wouldn't be necessary, now would it?

I personally believe you are projecting. You don't believe in Christ because you don't believe you need forgiveness, therefore you project that attitude on Christians.

As far as people "going to the bar" on Saturday night, so what? Every person in that church on Sunday morning has sinned the previous week and they are all there atoning for their sins and asking forgiveness. If they tell you otherwise, they're not Christians.

We have an understanding & knowledge that you choose to deny. Due to your denial your fate is worse than you might imagine. When you end up where you ultimately will, you will beg for another chance. There will be none.

In essence, out of compassion and love for those who are lost, we only desire to encourage you to be able to see the obvious. The obvious however, is determined not to be truth as you have been decieved into believing the lie.

It all boils down to the belief that they are going to heaven and you are going to hell. How can you not be better than someone if you believe that?

Albeit, this is true, to some extent.
There are so-called Christian religions, denominations and cults that ingrain this mentality into it's members.
Just like secret societies these teach that they have some secret knowledge that grants them amnesty with their god.
So unfortunately this is something that us that do follow have to live down and live with.

Please do not group us all into this category and arrogant mindset that these have.

Christians are the most ignorant dickheads on the planet. Religion in general is a problem humanity will need to deal with in the coming centuries. Believing that a diety cares about us stinking apes is embarrasing. We only live a short lifespan. Maybe when aging ceases to be an issue we can do away with all the speculation on an afterlife. Because that's all it is - speculation.

When you die you simply cease to exist. Religion was founded to force obedience in a population of low intelligence by threatening them with something they can never prove or disprove (afterlife). Genius really. But those days are over. Just die out Christianity, and every religion with it. That would be the best thing to do.

When Jeshua was on earth you will recall reading (or hearing) that he regularly interacted and even ate with those who were considered sinners (prostitutes, tax collectors, etc). The 'religious' of the day were horrified by it all.

But why does a healthy man need a doctor? He came to minister to those who had need of Him. Anyone who looks down his nose at you as a sinner will have some answering to do when he dies and faces his God.

I don't believe you have to attend church to be a Christ-follower. I've met a great number of truly saintly people who aren't affiliated with a particular church. They just know the Lord and love Him with all of their being.

All Christians portrayed by Hollywood/MSM are like that. OPs obviously been indoctrinated into believing that too.

Even when there are reasonable people caught up in it. I'm not saying everyone who is in a religion is a complete fucktard, there are good people yes, but for those of you who are good people in your religions..ask your local preachers and spiritual teachers how the rest of the world is viewed your god's eyes. The nay sayers (instant label for not believing in them) are to be slain, or converted.. in any religion clinging to a "god" 's feet. There are religions out there that are perfectly fine without needing the guidance of an imaginary friend that you have to donate your body's work and time to. I'm not claiming I know everything because I don't. I am but one person. Some people would rather believe in something else other than themselves.

There is nothing wrong with meeting every sunday or praying every few hours a day, your reality is what you make it. The only thing wrong with it is that people misinterpret the thing that makes religions actually powerful, and a god isn't one of them. It's the people's utter belief in it. People would throw themselves in a hail of gunfire because they BELIEVE in that cause, people would gladly help and care for their community because they BELIEVE in the cause. You can dance around the fear of going to hell all you want, that's why some people stop being religious after a while because they do not believe in it anymore, they are tired of walking on eggshells rather than doing what they really love. Belief is the all powerful part of religion, not some god.

All genuine Christians know that they are saved only by God's grace. Non-Christians refuse God's grace. There has to be a connection between what people believe and how they act; if not, then they are not genuine.

Because like most organized religions they are brainwashed into thinking they have the moral high ground and that they have acheived the pinnacle of understanding. It's an age old trick.

But bible thumping Christians are to a snot nose 12 year old girl as people with general enlightenment are to a 55 year old all knowing father. Most christians have no self awareness. I know because i used to be one. Then i graduated from church and read 2500 non-fiction books and realized i did not know a fucking thing hiding behind the veil of christianity.

I still follow the moral teachings of jesus but i have so much more now.
