ToSeek User ID: 1194295 United States 08/17/2012 09:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Try this site: [link to lunaf.com] Note that the Moon is currently new - that means it's near the Sun, almost entirely backlight, and only visible during the daytime. So you're not going to see it. It will be a couple of days before it's easily visible shortly after the sun sets. |

I have also wondered where the Moon has been for a week. So I know now that we are in the New Moon phase and is almost behind the Sun making it not visible. Thanks for the answer |

Was at work and we started talking about the exact same thing you mentioned, did star map and nothing came up hmmm Been seeing it here in Bc too. The big really bright one is Sirius. Comes up here right before the moon which is coming up right before sunrise. Somthings not right lately. The sky seems to be moving wrong with at least 3 different interfaces that I have noticed. The sky sites all seem to be giving or offering different info. I don't trust any of it anymore. Somthings off. |

Gave me a chance go to the fire look out and look at all the stars. Was Spectacular. Quoting: m0rgz1e That was a week ago and I still haven't noticed the moon out at night or day (I'm not sure if Australia is supposed to be seeing it in day time at the moment, just haven't noticed it hey). Can someone give me a website that will show me where the moon is supposed to be in relation to the earth? Or even better.... can someone tell me why this site isn't working... it won't show me past or future moons, actually comes up with an error! [link to www.calculatorcat.com] Also, any Aussies notice that weird triangle formation adjacent to the southern cross? it's visible between 7-10pm about West North-West only noticed that this week too! Thanks :) Yes we have been seeing that weird triangle formation too and I can assure you that its new in the sky, also about the moon i swear there are weeks im not seeing a moon. I have commented to my family about it but they think i am overreacting, i make a point of looking at the night sky alot now and its different to how it was several years ago. The moon should be there and its not. caz |
