I think he should be checked out. You never know when someone is going to go off. The ax statement was a red flag. We don't want him going postal like a "Lizzie Borden". He most likely will be released if they deem him sane and not a threat. We may not know all their is to know about this. I'm sure the government knows more than we do. What do we really know about this? Nothing- if you ask me. Why would they do this? There's probably a good reason. They might have saved some lives by getting to his problems early. It's hard to judge if you don't know all the facts. Sometimes you just think you know.

As I mentioned on the other thread, I think there's a little more to this story than Raub's patriotic position, or some anti-government posts on Facebook. From what I understand, he was talking about open revolution, that he was going to be the leader, and his guns were "bigger than a baby's arm."

Not sure if he actually threatened anyone, but he did not sound overly stable from what I've been able to piece together reviewing other forums talking about this.

I wouldn't rule out PTSD, no matter what his mommy says.
