The limited navy for russia and china would lose any war with the usa. Most people on this site have no clue how powerful our military really is and the world will soon find out.

These "nationality" arguments is exactly what TPTB want. It's hard to have peace when we bicker and piss on each others shoes all the time.

I have said it before, I have really good friends from all over the world. All of them have a certain "national pride" but they are damn good folks. My own "roots" come from Scotland and Northern Ireland. I could beat my chest and squawk about shit that happened hundreds of years ago but that is kinda stupid. I have friends from southern England, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Poland, Ukraine...on and on. Sure, I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains so I have a group of "good ole boy" rednecks and hicks that are some of my best friends. But what always made me proud of our 'group" is that even though we were considered "rednecks" we were not ever prejudiced. My hick friends accepted my "multinational" friends like family.

We are ALL in this together. We need to remember that.

And for the record...

Russia was correct. England needs to honor diplomatic immunity and state sovereignty. If Ecuador wants to give Assange asylum...."we" the world must respect that...even if some folks don't like it. The USA needs to put it's pecker back in it's pants and be respectful of other countries as well. SOME countries out there do not want our help or our opinion.

I think it is a Brit/Swede problem. The powers out there got some egg on their face and they want someone's head to roll. Assange is a scapegoat. He hacked this shit and showed the world all the international treachery and some of TPTB are embarrassed and want someone to pay. I personally say..."let it go"....we all knew this shit was going on and Assange just provided the proof. I don't think the guy did anything totally terrible....yeah, sure....he caught some of us with our hand in the cookie jar...and our pants around our ankles...but ...when you think about it...isn't that a good thing? He showed the hypocrisy...he showed the lies. God forbid our governments operate with transparency.

I have no mixed feelings about manning. he swore an oath and broke that oath. he wasn't ordered to do something awful he was angry on a personal level at the military for not accepting gays. I do believe he joined the military to gain personal revenge based on his own sexual orientation.

Manning's actions probably cost the lives of many and not only american lives. If manning had been ordered to do something that violated his personal standards then he should have resigned from the service, not betrayed the confidence of his country.

Assange is a low life creep and I have no doubt that once in ecuador he will be dealt with. the brits should let the ecuadorians have him, he is not worth an international incident.
