Iran doesn't start wars.. though that's not to say they don't try to bait others into attacking them.

Iran has had no history of attacking other nations in the last 50 or so years. The only war it has been involved in during that time was the one started by Iraq when Sadam was a trusted ally of the US.

One major problem if there is an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities is the unknown amount of radioactive materials, enriched uranium etc. that could be blasted into the environment with an attack that would use only conventional bombs.. The radiation still has the potential to kill many innocent Iranians.

Ultimately, from an Israeli perspective they are damned if they do, or don't now.

No matter what the Israelis do, the US Military will have to go in and finish the job, and the Israelis know it... And despite seeming unbelievable, that is exactly what key members, and elements within the Iranian regime want.

The Iranians will not relent until they have provoked an attack by the "great Satan"

It provides religious justification for what they plan to do next...

Iranian air defenses will be rendered useless and ineffective.

Ballistic missiles will destroy most of the key targets, fighter/bombers will cleanup, the US military will be pulled in at that point likely.

From there it all gets interesting, and kind of scary.

All sides should consider pulling back from the brink, if they place any value on human lives.

That isn't likely to happen now, but one can still hope.

Well, I would say that the subtleness of Putin's is much more sofisticated than Iran's strategy. Russia is currently focusing more on soft values and dialogue between the warring parties and at the same time bringing home plenty of political points. Should the Turks and their bitchy Prez try out any adventures in Syria, they would be bombed back to the stone age before they'd know what hit them. Me thinks that Russia has its strategic bombers on high alert and it wouldn't be difficult to fire of a couple of Topols and flatten Incirlik to the ground, whereas the bombers turn Hatay and adjacent provinces to dust. That is how you play the Grand Chessboard and there is nothing ZioNato can do except starting a thermonuclear war.

Problem is that the Iranian Commander is absolutely correct. Israel v Iran alone, Israel loses. Why? Iran not only lives in relative isolation since 1979- 1980, but they are florishing. In fact, they have become as self sufficient as a society can become. As a result, we dont know what the hell they have and we dont know what they are capable of. But we will never know, at least not in the near term.

In order for Iran to obtain an advantage and be able to move ground troops to attack they will have to go through Turkey (NATO), Syria (Russia), Iraq (US), Saudi Arabia (US) and Jordan (US). So given this scenario one can see why Russia decided to enter Syria, to stop Iran from destroying Israel?

Iran has had nukes, note here they are being defensive...were the aggressors, north Korea is about to test two nukes and were not saying a word, UN and USA are just trying to pick of every country they can before Russia and china, in a nuclear world it's only fair, all nukes or no nukes.
