Well, understanding that I have no facebook page myself... one good reason is because maybe some people don't want a complete stranger coming up to them, addressing them by their name perhaps = like they're fucking best buds from way back - and offering them shit they have no intention of buying!

Shit, I stopped frequenting any retail/restaurant business that asks for my name as part of a cash and carry deal (so fuck you, Starbucks!).

Just the idea that corporations are colluding to gain as much info as possible about everyone... to include creating/accessing biometric identification databases... and maybe some people don't want to be part and parcel to such things!
