The last two times I've slept have been terrifying.
The last two times I have gone to sleep, I have had the most vivid dreams that I have ever had.

The first one I'm not going into detail of because it's about my father dying, and the thought of this makes me sick to my stomach.

In the second dream that I just had, still have blurry eyes from waking up from it...

I had a dream of being at one of my friend's house and sitting around with him and his family while watching the news. The news was talking about these rain storms that have been occurring over the east coast. (lately here in MA there has been some really intense thunder storms, more powerful than ones I can remember from earlier in my life)

For what ever reason I feel compelled to go outside and have a cigarette. As I walk out side I can sense the crisp fresh air, it's definitely fall in New England. The colors of all the trees around me are millions of shades of orange and yellow and red. The feeling of peace and happiness overwhelmed me. I light up my cigarette and look towards the sky. It's pretty cloudy and it's hard to see the sun itself as it sets, but the clouds are so colorful from the sun set.

All of a sudden I see a small meteor blast through the cloud making a sonic boom as it passes through the cloud. it crashes into the Earth making a small POW as it seemed to be very far away. As quick as it appeared and disappeared there were more meteors. Hundreds... maybe thousands of them.. Crashing to the Earth all around me as if I had a force field of protection surrounding a 10 meter radius around me. I rushed back to my friends house to get their attention, but they were already ahead of me, coming outside to see what was going on.. We stood on his porch watching the destruction in awe.

The next thing I knew I was driving down the road talking to the same friend on the phone. As if it was weeks after the incident. The news refused to cover the story that we told them even though there were thousands of people killed, homes destroyed and we were the only survive rs to speak of.

After this point my dream goes on a totally unrelated tangent that isn't really significant. Basically I just drove around in my car for what felt like ages until I wake up.

Not sure if anyone is actually going to read this, but I had to share it with somebody while the dream was still fresh in my mind. Thanks guys.

Re: The last two times I've slept have been terrifying.
About 10 years ago I posted a dream right here on GLP.

It was a dream I had that I called the second sun.

I had a dream that meteorites or asteroids where heading towards earth and the news was calling it the second sun event because it looked like a second sun in the sky due to it's brightness.

Back then when I searched the web for the phrase "second sun" there were no hits. Today there are thousands and I believe there must be a reason for that.

I live in PA and it hit north west. 10 years later and I still worry about it. I hope your dream doesn't haunt you like mine has.

If you search for meteorite, earth and dream(s) you might be able to hook-up with people who have had a similar experience.

Good luck and Godspeed.

So you've never had a dream that scared you? That's really unlikely. I'm not obsessing over it. I'm only interested.

thank you for sharing, OP. that was very interesting.

I've had incredibly vivid dreams that absolutely blew my mind, on a number of occasions -- and even having multiple recurrences of identical, vivid dreams.

mine were of a different nature, so I won't go into it.

That's awesome! I mean it's not the nature of the dream that captivated my attention so much, it was the amount of colors and vividness of it all. It felt so real. I felt like I was watching the most amazing movie but it was happening around me. What was your vivid dreams like?

The best scarey dreams I've had come true. The best way for me to have a scarey dream is to wake up about 4 am, take some B vitamins and then crash again.

well, there's one dream that I call the 'Face of Fire.'
in it, I can see a face made out of fire, looking straight at me with a full-field-of-vision tapestry of fire, behind it.
the face is not in pain, it isn't suffering, it is the fire.
it looks right at me and right through me and seems to be conveying a message.

I'm not sure, but the face of fire might actually be me.
that's one of them. =)

Dreams of people dying - those are evil. You need to pray and ask Jesus to not let any evil communicate with you and stop the dreams at night. Before they knew God, the Indians tried to do this by using dreamcatchers. Even they sensed that some things needed to be filtered out from the unconscious mind.

i think that's interesting... i hope others continue to share dreams like this. I have dreams, but their never really easy to make sense of. Really sporadic, like the channel is changing on the television that is my dream-state.
you have to be the change you desire to see in the world, because it is your world, collectively. We are in it, but we are not of it. That's why we manifest and co-create it...

just sleep paralysis, I've had it a million times. We interpret it as something evil, so our mind comes up with crazy possible explanations - these days that tends to be things you might hear on C2C while going to sleep.

I suppose 200 years ago, people with sleep paralysis imagined satan was sending oxen to sit on their bed and surround their cabin. LOL

LOL. It's a pretty good movie. I personally think it would have been better without the freaky albino alien twist.
SPOILER ALERT - DON'T READ FROM HERE ON IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE

so we are supposed to believe they cherry picked only two kids from the entire world to breed in a petri dish world somewhere? Star Trek did better than than in 1969. Still, Nicholas Cage was awesome and the plot, minus that part, was nail biting.

Re: The last two times I've slept have been terrifying.
About ten years ago when my kids were little i had a dream.

I was sitting on a hill with my sons who were young adults, we were watching these huge fireballs come out of the sky and hit earth. We didnt know exactly what they were , it seemed appropriate to call them fireballs cos thats what they looked like.

There was an old tumble down house beside us, we went in and on a dirty old mattress there was a necklace.
End of dream.

two years ago we were evicted from a house and had no where to go on such short notice.
A friend of a friend heard our plight and said he had an old farm house for rent
It is fabulous we moved in straight away and after a short settling in period decided to go and check out the land around the house...it has 450 acres, so we had a fair bit of walking to do.
As we got half way up the hill, there was another house, the original farm house which was full of rot and falling down...this was the house in my dream
I was a little shocked and as I walked around it I also realized that the view from the hill was exactly like that of my dream and my sons were now young men.

I cant go in the old house to see if there is a necklace , cos I am scared the darn thing will fall down on me.

We have been put here.

I've never seen "knowing" is it worth while?

About the death dream, I don't really see it as evil as death is just another part of life. Everyone has to do it, I don't see why it should be something feared :)

watching the "run up" to the elections and the "hopes and dreams" that are built as a result is like watching a dead mouse that is still able to make his exercise wheel go around because his nerves are still twitching that familiar motion...
