Re: 2006 Day One: Floods, Fires, Record Heat, Cold
well, I'm not one to normally quote song lyrics, but these Postal Service lyrics from "Sleeping in" are just too appropo

And then last night i had that strange dream
Where everything was exactly how it seemed
Where concerns about the world getting warmer
The people thought they were just being rewarded
For treating others as they like to be treated
For obeying stop signs and curing diseases
For mailing letters with the address of the sender
Now we can swim any day in november

Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
(now we can swim any day in november)
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in

Australia battles wildfires as new year brings record heatwave

· Sydney records highest temperature since 1939
· Buildings destroyed as fires burn out of control

Bernard O'Riordan in Sydney
Monday January 2, 2006
The Guardian

Sydney sweltered through its hottest New Year's Day on record yesterday as blowtorch conditions pushed the mercury to 44.2C (112F), causing power blackouts and sparking more than 40 bushfires along Australia's east coast.
Homes and cars were destroyed, towns isolated and roads cut off as firestorms raged across parts of New South Wales, Victoria and the capital, Canberra.

At least 35 people were treated for heat exhaustion at Sydney's beaches and 100 people were rescued by lifeguards.

Re: 2006 Day One: Floods, Fires, Record Heat, Cold
The Bear Begins to Strike Back

The Bear has been mostly silent , in hibernation for some time.
It is now on up on it's hind feet, flexing it's muscles ,striking out against those it perceives rightly or wrongly are a threat to it.
This Bear is more lethal , a more dangerous and deadly threat than the sleeping west realizes.
Is it possible that God blinds leaders who in turn make serious errors in underestimating
the present situation ?
I believe the present blindness of the west is part of God's judgment upon them and the earth for the great wickedness and perversion which overflows all the of the nations.
Those not blinded by Satanic deception can see that God's judgments have already begun and increase with severity.
The fires, flood and global upheavel's are unprecedented as Iran and N.Korea at the direction of China and Russia prepare to end U.S. global hegemony.
Nuclear war is inevitable, there is no stopping the judgments of God upon His rebellions creation.
2006 most definately promises to be a very bad year for living things on the planet. .
How's that for putting truth above delusion's of optimism, the current opiate of the masses ?
There is only one way of escape and Messiah Jesus is His name.
Time is shorter than most realize.
